Yovani Gallardo had surgery Tuesday on his torn ACL, and nothing but good news came out of it, and the Brewers are very pleased.  Gallardo begins rehab Wednesday and could start throwing off the mound as soon as 2 MONTHS!  Not to get are hopes up but the brewers still plan on him being out for the season.  Maybe, just maybe if the Brewers are in good shape for the Playoffs, he could help them down the stretch.

I know he said he wants to be back by September, but I doen't think we can realistically count on him again this year.  I really hope in the next 2 months the Brewers realize that they probably need that extra starter and within reason trade some minor league talent to get it.  Anyone hear Rich Harden?  I know he's very injury prone, but he has the stuff of Sheets when healthy.

I like your thinking behind that Saint.  Rich Harden would be a HUGE pickup for the Brewers, and if we were to get him, and if he did good, then we could sign him a deal.  Imagine a Rotation of Sheets, Gallardo, and Harden, as your 1-2-3 punch.

Rich Harden would be high risk, high reward.  I have lived, and mostly died by this team since the early 80's I am ready to see playoff baseball.  Again within reason I wouldn't mortgage the future to the point that it would set us back years, but I have heard that Harden and Street are available as Oakland is going with a big retooling.

Well Harden would be a good pick-up, I wouldn't want him.  He has made 13 starts in the last two years combined.  Thats worse than Ben Sheets.  We would have to give up a couple of prospects, and than we wouldn't have the money to resign him when his contract is up.  I think that it would end up to be a waste of a couple of prospects, or whatever we would give up for him.  But I'm not going to lie, if he would stay health, that would be a raw 1-2-3 pitching combo.
