True NFL fans will not allow Goodell, The League, The Cheatriots and the Networks forget this blasphemy. A team cheats for a decade and no one cares? This is worse than Pete Rose, Fred Lane, Ray Lewis, OJ, Irvin, Drugs, and the Tuck Rule combined. A team chose to cheat, a coach chose to cheat and they get a mild fine and lose one pick - which actually helps them with the salary cap. This may be what brings the NFL down, if one network grows the nads to really investigate this story.

Dude, you toatally need to chill! To compare football games to murder is ridiculous! I agree the league is trying to get passed this rather quickly, and the reason is because everyone was doing what the Patriots were doing to some extent.  If you don't think so then you are just being a ignorant hater!

Wow - Man - you need to relax and probably back off.  For the moment, Spygate IS over.  I don't know what further investigation is going to show - that Belicheck knew it was wrong and lied about it?  OK.

But I have to ask - so he lied - so what?  He didn't lie on the stand to a Grand Jury, he did it to a Football Commissioner.  He lied to the person running one of the most successful, and my personal favorite, entertainment industry in the U.S.   He has been fined half a million Dollars - and due to the lie, he may get more.

What does this have to do with the Players?   This should impact his personal chances of getting into the Hall of Fame - but for the teams success, the players weren't showed those tapes.  They didn't get anything from it - they are staring at the coaches signals as they line up - hell defensively even if they had someone who knew watching from the sideliens, they better have GREAT vision and Telepathy to make it work to a competitive advantage.

Seriously - He cheated, and now we "know" he lied. He was penalized, and he might get more for being exposed as a liar.

Let it go - there are more interesting and prudent things to look at for the upcoming season.... Go Chargers!

Yeah they lost a pick but they lost the wrong pick. What I mean is they lost their own pick but they had a top 10 pick to improve their team. As far as I am concerned they should have lost the top 10 (#7 correct me if I am wrong) instead of their own pick (#31). Why punish a team and let them improve?  So what does the NFL do now? Drop the whole thing and move on. Nah, I don't think so. We haven't heard the last of it. All the film that was given over just might have the teams being taped filing lawsuits. But we will see soon enough.

Could you be more over dramatic?

I will agree it's outrageous the Pats are pretty much getting off easy.  What team wouldn't trade a first round draft pick and a million $ in fines for 3 Super Bowl wins?

I won't agree it is worse than murder.  Ease up on that.

The NFL is sweeping it under the carpet.  The NCAA would strip a team of its wins, titles, and force the school to pay back any extra funds earned as a direct result of the cheating.  Wow-the NCAA is more on the ball than the NFL on something!
