and before you laugh at what i got for the semester, remember i took 16 hours this semester, the most ive take in a semester ever... but i got a 2.92 this past semester, with a pass, 2 b-, a c+, and my 2nd a ever at W&M, bumpin my overall up to a 2.46... for a kid that started his career off with a 1.86 gpa, this is great news, all while playing a sport... im pretty damn stoked right now after seeing my grades... oh yeah, and i picked up gov't as a double major to go along with my history degree

and for those who dont know, William and Mary is the 2nd oldest college in America and considered a public ivy, so its hard as s**t, so please dont laugh at my meager gpa

I'm not laughing...Your 2.5 and degree from W&M will always look better than my useless 3.5 in Business at UK...Trust me...I'm finding that out now!
Its the reason I've worked hard and now have a 3.98 in Grad School...I have 6 As and 1 A- so far in Grad School...But grades don't really matter to future employers in grad school...But they do matter to me.

IN that case...My best semester was only missing 10 classes...And it wasn't my last semester.
I think I added up my total number of classes missed last Spring and it equaled 29...Not good.

Yeah, I sort of felt the same way, although depending on your field, they can matter some. It made me feel better about myself to see how well I was dealing with the academic challenges of grad school, compared to how I did in undergrad, and that just made me push myself to do better. Although the two grades I'm most proud of were both B+s, because they professors are well-known (and well-known for being hard) and beat me into shape in the process of getting up to there.

Tribed... I started my UNC career with a 1.7 GPA after the 1st Semester. Toooooo much partying & not enough studying. My folks almost didn't let me go back!! I managed to salvage a 3.1 out of the entire career at UNC.

Nice...my last semester...I didn't keep track, but pretty much my roommates said I was at home a lot more than what I was at class.

So I guess my 4.0, A.A., and Summa Cum Laude status in computer science from Kansas City Kansas Community College is rendered worthless, huh?
I did hear that KCKCC was considered an Ivy League juco, though.

Congratulations, the important thing is that you graduate. I've never had an employer as me what my gpa was so don't let that discourage you.
