The Brewers win 4 out of 5 games from the Cards and Dodgers, and they fall 5 spots in the rankings?  They're just starting to get hot at the plate, and aside from Gagne, the bullpen has been great.  Two weeks ago he had them 5th, and they have one bad stretch and get dropped 12 spots?  Doesn't make much sense.  Hopefully they can straighten out the back end of the bullpen, and they should get back to being one of the 2 best in the Central.  Unfortunately it doesn't look like the Cubs are going anywhere.

Agreed, additionally, look at St. Louis at number 6! Dont we think were getting just a wee bit too excited from their start. I mean look at them now they are starting to show what they really are.

They're ranked 17th because they're 4th in the NL central...With Gallardo out for the season and Sheets being as fragile as Mark Prior these days, I can't see this team making any noise this season. This is the same team that collapsed at the end of last season except for the addition of Gagne (and we all know how that's worked out so far). What gives you any kind of hope that this team can turn it around? They have no starting pitching, Prince Fielder hasn't had a cheeseburger in months, and Ned Yost couldn't manage a ball game to save his life. This division looks like its going to be a 1 team race unless the Cards can prove that they are as good as they are playing early on.

They blew another save last night... they are going to have a problem closing games all season and losing Gallardo is going to kill them.  When Sheets head back to the DL that will be the nail but they can't compete right now even with a healthy Sheets.

They are 4th in the division, only one game ahead of Pittsburgh so I wouldn't be complaining about the ranking.

Well let's look at the stats:

Team batting avg:  24th

Runs scored:  19th

Team ERA:  24th

Most of their team averages are in the bottom half or near bottom of the league. I'm a fan too, but to be honest, ranking them 17th at this point is probably generous, and only based on their potential. Until they raise their team batting average by at least 20 points to overcome their lousy pitching staff, this team is going nowhere.
