He's pitching awesome in AAA.

In a start for the Triple-A Pawtucket Red Sox Thursday afternoon, Colon threw one-hit baseball over six innings to lead the PawSox to a 2-0 win over the host Bisons in the first game of a doubleheader in Buffalo.

Colon had four strikeouts on the day, threw 64 pitches in total, 45 for strikes

According to MLB.com reports, Colon showed excellent command from start to finish, as he worked both sides of the plate well and threw 15 first-strike pitches with his velocity topping out at 95 mph.

In three starts Colon is 2-0 with a 0.64 ERA.

He's only given up 1 ER, 1 BB, and 6 hits in 3 games.

Maybe he's still got it. Watch out American League if this guy returns to form.

Remember, he was the Cy Young award winner in 2005.

BTW, AAA stats mean absolutely NOTHING to me right now.  Ian Kennedy looked liked Ron Guidry last week, then threw a grand total of three pitches to major league talent before a ball found the seats yesterday.

Colon is done....stop with these silly pipe dreams....

He's been throwing 95-97 with good breaking stuff as well. He definetly still has a chance of helping the team. As long as he doesn't pitch against the Yankees he could put up a pretty respectable record, in my opinion. As "useless" as AAA stats may be, the numbers are undenyably good, and thats atleast a good sign. You guys better be prepared to eat crow if he comes back and pitches well. All I've heard is that theres no chance he will be any good, and/or he is done.

Not to mention, from what it sounds like, very good control.

Colon has pitched in the MLB, and at the highest level, Cy Young in 2005. That wasn't that long ago guys.

BTW, ur dude Masterson got lit up by the Yankees AA affiliate last night. So much for pinning alot of hopes on him this season. He can't beat a AA team?

But apparently can beat an MLB team.

What, your prospects have never had bad games?

If they can squeeze him into Fenway he could give you a couple of innings.....

Yea if you look at Hughes and Kennedy they are the best AAA pitchers around. Too bad they can't pitch a lick in the Majors.

Have a nice day Yankees fans

Colon throw Kennedy numbers in AAA. You see where that got the Yankees.

That's why I'm surprised. He pitched well when he came up for that start, but gets rocked by a AA team. And why was he down In AA and not in AAA in the first place?

Managers Joe Girardi of the Yankees and Willie Randolph of the Mets have been asked to serve as coaches for the All-Star game in New York.

As reported by fox sports

Are you kidding me....The jury is still out on Joe, and I think the jURY JUST CAME BACK WITH A HANGING VERDICT ON WILLIE
