Which of the teams that still have to play a Game 7 will advance?

For the West, will it be the usual Spurs that continue to go deep in the playoffs every year? Or will it be the young Hornets led by Chris Paul?

For the East, will it be the No.1 seed Celtics that have struggled on the road but dominated at home? Or will it be the Cavaliers led by LeBron James and make their 2nd straight ECF appearance?

Who will advance and why?

I will say the Hornets and Celtics advance.

I think the Hornets will move on because they really want it. From the beginning of the year no one expected them to get half this far, but they continue to amaze us. The crushed the Mavericks, and now they are staying in with the defending champs. I think the heart of Chris Paul and the Hornets gets them to the WCFs this year.

I say the Celtics will advance, but I am rooting for the Cavaliers. I want revenge on LeBron James and the Cavs from last year against the Pistons, but I just think the Celtics will pull it out tonight. They have been horrible on the road, but have looked great at home. The Cavs haven't let them dominate at home as the did against the Hawks, but still the Celtics are undefeated at home. The Big 3 really want that title, and they are not about to give up yet.

What up Big B, nice thread...

Im going completely opposite of you, I have the Spurs and Cavaliers advancing.

The Spurs are a great team and they know how to get out of this kind of situation.  The only thing is they will be playing in Narlens.  Popavich will have his team ready and Tim Duncan is going to have a huge game.

Now, the Cavs WILL beat the Celtics in Boston.  I think Lebron's good outing last night will carry into game 7 where he will explode for 40+ points.  The Cavs role players are doing OK right now while the Celtics role players are doing "terrble".

I would like to see the Cavs in the ECF again for some payback but I think Pistons/Celtics would be a lot more exciting.

Must GO big on Celtics at HOME... a Five Star wager here...

I favor NO over Spurs, but am not wagering as NO and West injury might have impact.. and do not count out Duncan (he is way overdue to perform in NO!!)

I'm going Spurs and Celtics, sticking to my guns of what I thought would be the final four and hoping for the Spurs/Pistons rematch finals (to give Stern more ulcers).  I still think the experience of the Spurs in a game 7 will pull it out, but NO is impressive and fun to watch.  As much as would like the Pistons to have revenge on LeBron I still don't think Boston's regular season was a fluke.  The Celtics road woes continue to amaze me and give me more hope than I had going into the playoffs of the Pistons reaching the finals--but the C's are still a tough out at home, and that is all they have to win.
