Well it all depends on Kobe's back. He is the go to guy on the Lakers and they need him. IF Kobe's not their Lamar, Pau, and Derek need to step it up and hope for a better day from the bench. Go Lakers!

Jellydonut, do you feel that Cleveland will beat the Celtics on Sunday?

Jellydonut, do you feel that Cleveland will beat the Celtics on Sunday?

Short answer is yes, but don't bet on it.

Mike Brown has brought a tough defensive attitude to the Cavs.  Holding the Celtics to 69 points yesterday was special.  It wasn't just bad shooting by the Celtics.  The Celtics just couldn't find an open shot or a lane to go to the basket.

If the Cavs bring that same defensive attitude on Sunday, they have a chance.  Scoring has been the Cavs problem.  Wally Sczerbiak has been cold, and so has LeBron for the most part.  Ben Wallace and Andy Verejao are strictly defensive players.  Booby Gibson is out with a separated left shoulder.

If LeBron has a monster game and Sczerbiak or someone else (possibly Devon Brown, Damian Jones, or Delante West) steps up to score a high percentage and the whole team plays defense, they have a chance.  There are millions of people in the Cleveland area that would rather have this final game played in Cleveland.  It will be tough to beat the 7-0 Celtics at home.

I agree with Jelly:  I think the Cavs will win, but I wouldn't bet on it.  I like LeBron's big-game ability better than the so-called Big 3 combined.

If the Cavs can't figure out a way to beat the Celtics in Boston tomorrow, then I feel like we're going to be seeing a Lakers / Pistons NBA Final.

The reason I say this is that LA & Detroit were the only two teams that demonstrated the ability to break through with a road win in the 2nd round of the playoffs, and that speak volumes to each team's overall readiness to make it out of their respective conference finals.

Then again, according to this theory, the Hornets would also have to beat the Spurs on Monday night...

JD, I would hate to face the Cavs, they are the kind of team that takes you out of the flow of your offense, I know they were tough against the Lakers. I am not sure what will happen Sunday, but you guys came close in Boston the other day, the Lakers came close against the Jazz the first two road games, and finally broke through for a win at Utah, maybe that will be the case for you guys on Sunday?   Hi Poetz & Jefe

OK first off O agree with Blu Jefe..you need to suit up lol

ok Spurs are going to win and the horns will show their inability to win when they have to.

boston loses to cleav because they can't get into focus

detroit beats cleav.  Hamilton shows up huge.

We beat Spurs..They are way to tired and they are gone in 6 or less.

Lets see what happens....All I have to say is that I am excited...conf finals...4 wins for finals....just   crazy...gotta say I was not expexting to go this far in the beginning.

Go Lake Show

OK first off O agree with Blu Jefe..you need to suit up lolDudes and dudettes, believe me when I say you do NOT want me suiting up anywhere near a basketball court - you know that character that Will Ferrell played in Semi-Pro?  I'm basically that to the 10th power...

So who do you guys want to see in the next round. Neither teams, a bargain. S.A. we might be able to beat cause Duncan's slipping. N.O. is inexperienced, relatively speaking (having no one on the roster who's ever made the finals or won a ring). The great thing is we have home court over both. To me that's going to be the difference maker since L.A is a strong road team, and should they slip and lose one at Staples, they have the ability to definitely win 1 on the road. Highly doubtful, they lose two at Staples.

Personally, I think N.O's going to beat S.A, and will make for a more exciting series.

sman, I think we match up better against the Spurs, but like you said, the Hornets are a super tough all around team.
