Some high draft picks here, Rivers (1 or 4) overall, Cutler 11 overall, Russell 1 overall, Croyle 2nd round I beleive.
This looks like a 2 horse race, but I'm Sure Russell will also get votes since we still don't know how he'll be. We'll know after this year.
Who will have the best season in 2008? Career stats below:
- Phillip Rivers: 60.8% comp, 6688 yards, 44/25 TD/INT, 86.6 rating
- Jay Cutler: 62.6% comp, 4498 yards, 29/19 TD/INT, 88.2 rating
- Brodie Croyle: 56.3% comp, 1250 yards, 6/8 TD/INT, 65.8 rating
- JaMarcus Russell: 54.5% comp, 373 yards, 2/4 TD/Int, 55.9 rating

I went with Culter. He and Rivers have performed close enough to one another but I give the edge to cutler simply because he was had less help on the offensive side the Rivers. Just my opinion

I too went with Cutler... putting up total career stats is pretty pointless because they all have different amounts of starts. Go with a season average when it comes to yards, or at least stick to just last season.
I think Cutler is the better QB. I don't really have much of a reason to go with.
I don't like Philip Rivers' awkward throwing motion. Cutler looks much more fluid.
Also, Cutler has that same swagger without the d-bagness that Rivers sometimes exudes (taunting fans, trashtalking)

Thanks, and sorry. Could've sworn he was picked in the 2nd larrry.
I guess you'll know who I picked. It's interesting now though to learn that Cutler played last year 30 pounds underweight, as well as lethargically before he was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Now that he knows, he can do his best to manage it, much like Adam Morrison of Gonzaga fame and the Grizzlies does.

Yeah, in this case especially, but Rivers, vs Croyle and Cutler being only one year removed from when they were drafted, I felt it was pertinent. Last years stats would not have helped much with Croyle and Russell either, since neither started the entire season.

Bermy cracks me up, d-bagness, is that a new adjective? I like it.

Well, the homer in me picked Philip Rivers of the Chargers. I justify this choice by the fact that I think they will win the division. Hopefully go deep into the playoffs. AND maybe, just maybe the SB. If only most if this happens I would say it would be the best season of the 4. I think all would agree winning games far outweighs having great stats.
If you're strictly talking stats it might be different, or closer. According to your numbers Rivers had more yards and TD's but the Broncos Jay Cutler had a slightly higher comp. % and a few less int's. I would like to have seen attempts numbers too. Int's relate to attempts would come into play. This could go either way. Rivers might get the nod just because he has a slightly better (proven) receiving corps. AND is surrounded by a better team overall. Helps him out a lot.
Raiders JaMarcus Russell and Chiefs Croyle will not have a better won/lost record and I don't think either one will be better than Rivers or Cutler in stats...
Take another look at your TD/INT ratings for Russell and Croyle. something isn't right? Wouldn't more int's than td's be some kind of a negative number?
GO BOLTZ
