yes, best halfs he played. Sure, he's had better ones in the regular season, but considering the importance of the game, and the margin of error kobe had to work with (infintesimal), game 1 was definitely at the top of the list. And regarding Hunters comments about Phil needing to play Memba and Walton more; Please don't Phil. This is the playoffs. Shorten your bench. Putting memba and Walton in could cost the team the game in a matter of minutes.

I don't think Mbenga will go in unless its a blow out or someone gets injured.  Phil hasn't went to him yet.  Walton on the other hand, we will see him.  I am on the fence with this guy.  He has been huge and bad at the same time.  I do think he is one of the smarter players on the team and he usually seems somewhat under control, just some bad passes and poor shot choices at time, he's almost always left open for 3s, ever realize that?  Tells you that no one really cares about his shot making ability.  I like his physical presence like Turiaf in the paint and he puts an A+ effort most of the time.

a sweep?

Are you kidding me??  What basis leads any sane person to think San Antonio is incapable of winning one measly game?

The Lakers had one of the most miraculous comebacks of all-time, and still had to watch that 3-point shot float in the air for an eternity before it missed off the front rim.

If Manu's 3-ball had fallen, I doubt the Spurs would talk sweep.....

The Lakers should feel happy to have stolen a lost game and survived.

proclaiming a bold sweep seems a bit too cocky????

Actually,

Luke Walton played pretty well in game 2 and even D.J. Mbenga scored for us and Walton had the last second 3 to put the Lakers up by 30 points over the Spurs. In addition, Trevor Ariza was able to make an appearance in more than 3 months.

I agree with you Horns.  It seems that only the less knowledgeable fans would make statements like that. Fortunately, most of the Laker fans on ths site aren't so stupid to think that there will be a sweep.  I think that's what we are hearing from the bandwagon fans and/or Spurs haters.
