They are supposedly interviewing 4 people this week. Dwayne Casey, Jeff Hornacek, Tyrone Corbin, and one of the Person boys (Chuck or Wesley). I know they have to wait until Boston and Detroit's seasons are over (Michael Curry and Tom Thibidoux), but I don't like the direction Paxson is going with this. Casey has already shown he is not a good head coach. Are either of the Person boys even assistant coaches right now in the league?? I know Corbin has been coaching under Sloan in Utah. That may be a decent fit. But what about Mark Jackson??  I have thought for a couple of years that he would make a good coach. I am glad that Avery Johnson doesn't want to be with the Bulls, because I wouldn't want him anyway.

The funniest part is that Indiana is considering Jim Boylan. LOL!!

Casey has shown he's a better head coach than Randy Wittman, or so it would seem. He walked into a trainwreck in Minnesota, not even Flip Saunders could win with the team McHale put on the floor and look at what he's doing in Detroit.

Nate, you are in touch with what happens in the Gopher state. I actually thought Flip did a decent job up there. What did you think about his tenure? Personally, I never thought that Whitman would be a viable option. Maybe that's because I hated him and Ted Kitchell beating Illinois in the early-mid 80s. LOL

Perhaps they can bring back Tim Floyd?

So am I,  There's alot of wood choppin and moonshine drinkin goin on over there.  Don't bring your dog within the borders or you'll be sellin puppies.

As for Flip,  he used the Coach the LaCrosse Catbirds back in the day when they had Vince the Prince dunkin on fools.

-------------

Then they can draft OJ Mayo #1 and really bring the franchise into the ground.

I'm all for that Chi.  The Buck pick 8th.  High enough to get a good player, yet too low to get a true difference maker, although this is a deep draft.

Getting rid of Flip Saunders is mistake #10,000 in the ongoing tragi-comedy that is known in the NBA as the Timberwolves. He was one of ours, a Gopher. He got us to the Western Conference finals with KG and two headcases (Cassell and Sprewell).

I occasionally did not care for his defensive matchups. I will never understand why he had Sam Mitchell playing Nowitzki, man, in the playoffs when KG was the clear choice. Dirk killed us in a 3-game sweep. I mean that just seemed obvious.

But he had a bunch of bums, Hassel, Davis, Olowakandi, Jaric, Hudson, they're all making $5 million per year and can't play, either because they're injured or just aren't very good. And Casey inherited that very same mess.

Casey didn't prove he's a great head coach, by any means, but what the heal are you going to do with that mess? He did well to have them at .500 when he was relieved, it went way downhill when Wittman took over.

It hit Rock Bottom when the owner, Taylor, after trading KG, accused him of tanking games:

Nice, let's throw the best Timberwolf, by far, and the hardest working dude in the NBA under the bus for the mess that McHale created. Does it get any dumber? I've never heard of anything so ridiculous in my entire life.

Kelvin Sampson, anyone? He and his cellie would be free to roam, without the onus of NCAA rules and regulations.

Can you hear me now?

If the Bulls are looking to sink to new depths they could always open up the Bill Cartwright Jumpshooting Clinic.
