Take a look at Yahoo, Obama 45%, McCain 40%.  That's where I got the poll, I can't link because it's some Java or flash thing.

Bottom Line: Clinton is more electable.

"Bill Clinton is the worst president I ever know".

Yeah, those eight years of peace and prosperity really sucked.  I much prefer kids coming home in body bags and the economy in the crapper.

That's a national poll, which in my opinion is meaningless.  The president is elected by the electorial college.  Of that only 3 or so states are up for grabs.  Who gets elected president will come down to who wins Florida, Penn, and Ohio.  The rest of the states either wont be big enough to swing the lead, or a to solid democrat or republican to be changed by the independent.

So although I believe that Obama may poll as the highest overal percentage of voters, I also believe its possible that Clinton could actually win more states or bigger states.

Bottom Line: Clinton is more electable.

I agree with your logic but it fails to talk about one important factor.  Hillary Clinton is one of the most polarizing figures in American politics today.  In a typical national election one candidate can count on 40% of the vote, the other can do the same and really about 20% of the vote is up for grabs.  If Hillary ran this number would dwindle to maybe 5%. She has very high favorables in the Democratic party but higher negatives to match in the Republican party.  As for me, I don't know if I can vote for McCain per se if Obama ran, but if Hillary were to run I would be able to vote McCain as an anti-Hillary vote should that scenario take place.  I still contend nothing will unite Republicans more than the threat of a Hillary presidency.

Bottom Line: Clinton is more electable.

As Inflation occurs, to maintain the standard of living so do Incomes.

Bottom Line: Clinton is more electable.
