As a die hard Seattle Mariner fan I think they should do a sign and retire for him. I don't know if he is Hall worthy but if he is he must go in with the Mariner Uniform. Your thoughts?
My thoughts are that he was a half-way decent player who had three good years after he got really jacked on steroids. If you don't agree, then you didn't follow his career. He went from a skinny kid to a guy that had forearms that would rival Popeye. He has as much chance to get in the Hall of Fame as you do.
You must be a die hard fan, Bret was a good player but certainly not Hall credentials
The only negative I remember of him was when he was with the Braves, the rumor was he was a "cancer" in the clubhouse. Maybe not true, since Stan Kasten was the Braves Pres. during that time.
I was rooting for his comeback it's always fun to see good power hitting middle infielders.
Brett had a great 2nd run with the Mariners. but his stats were bloated compared to the rest of his career. Juice? probably. While I do appreciate his time with the mariners, as an M fan, no hall of fame and no M hall of fame. if you deflate his states to reflect the rest of his career, he is an avg 2nd baseman.
