Ramon Sessions was in Reno, NV yesterday promoing the new D-League team coming to town next season. An article in todays Reno Gazette Journal states he has been told he will start for the Bucks next season. I wanted to get some thoughts from the fans. What do you all think about Sessions getting the nod next season?

The former Nevada standout declared for the 2007 NBA draft following his junior season. The Milwaukee Bucks selected Sessions with the 56th overall pick. Sessions started the season with the Bucks' D-league affiliate, the Tulsa 66ers, to work on his game.

He was later called up and played so well he said Wednesday he has already been told he will start this next season on the Bucks' roster and not in the D-League.

if sessions is getting the nod that  means Mo Williams or Michael Redd are on their way out of town.  hopefully they are taking bell, simmons, and gadzuric with them.

Well it looks like Mo Williams will be out of here. Then again Mo could move over to the 2 guard and we could get a nice small forward if we trade Micheal Redd.

I don't think this means he is going to start at guard, i think it means he will be on the Bucks roster, probably as a key backup for when williams and redd get tired, especially considering that the new gm likes redd and williams and probably won't move them.

I like Ramon Sessions but I'm not sold on him completly yet I have to see more I also think it would be bad to trade Mo but I think at this point trading Redd might be a good thing.

Very good observation bmf4ever. I read the article wrong. After re-reading it, you are 100% correct. He's going to start the season on the Bucks roster. Not start for the Bucks. My bad. I got a little excited there, being a Nevada fan and all.

Cheers!

no worries, fingers crossed that he will be the starter by the end of the year. Maybe being overshadowed by Fazekas and Kemp actually helped turn him into a mature point guard with a pass first mentality, which a lot of nba teams value. I wouldn't be surprised to see him either get 20-30 minutes a game with the Bucks by the trade deadline or at least be in a trade with some big names or draft picks.

It really is amazing seeing what he has done though as a "lowly second round pick". He fought his way to the top of the nbdl to almost be called up to the nba only to break his hand. He fought back from that to make the nba and between the game winners, breaking records, and half court shots has managed to be a contender for the starting position. It may and probably will still go to Mo, but for a second rounder to cause some doubt about it in his rookie year is still very impressive. Hopefully he has another great year and a long career in front of him.
