The Indians have a fever, and the only prescription is...More ShavingCream Pies.

At this point last year, the Cleveland Indians were 34 19, scored 5.6 runs a game and were in 1st place in the AL Central.  This year they are 24-29, score 4.1 runs a game, and are in 3rd place in the AL Central.  Some contribute it to lack of hitting (batting .233 as a team).  Some contribute it to a bad bullpen.  I contribute it to lack of shaving cream pies. Bring back Trot Nixon for crying out loud.  I thought it was stupid last year, but this year I would love to see just one guy get it in the face after a walkoff homerun or even a sac fly.  They're 10 games off last years pace and they can either rebound or snowball from here.

Step it up, fellas.

Haha I think your right i was just thinking that this team has no commradiry. I havent seen one pie to the face. This team just looks like it isnt having fun like last years team. Something or someone has to change this around we can't go 1 game away from the World Series to this can we.

Last year this team played loose and I think the presence of Trot had alot to do with that he was a great team guy who helped put the fun in Indians baseball last season. I know he wasn't much at the plate and the defensive play he made in the playoffs still hurts, however I would give anything to see some emotion on the field this season and we all know Trot would have helped in that matter.

We already have a guy on the roster who can't hit or field.  Maybe we can teach Andy Marte how to throw pies.

Correction ::  We already have a TEAM that can't hit ....  I wonder if any of them can learn to throw a pie...??

Whatever they need . . .  they need it BAD...!!  I've seen slow starts in my day, but this is absurd.  What we have is an entire team of MENDOZA's.  Currently I rate them as PATHETIC.  Any team that has a "designated hitter" who is only 30 years old..... should at leats make certain the DH can actually HIT.... !!     Ever since he was hit in the head, his production has done nothing but diminished. 

I say we have CC fill-in for Haftner at DH ..... at least he'd hit the ball.
