Miami Oh has always held up its nose to many other schools and really believes it it truly a better place than any they look down on.

This story is one of many that they will keep a lid on in Oxford OH. Moral here... GET OFF YOUR HIGH HORSE your no better than Ohio U or Toledo and you never were better than anyone else.

And another thing.. my god son,if you cant get laid in college without going Silence of the Lambs on woman then you couldnt get laid in a woman's prison with a fist full of pardon's.

Have a great season .

As a MU alum, this is as embarrassing as the assistant coaches issues a few years ago (I believe it was the on-field altercation at Marshall).  It's unfortunate and it seems to happen more and more.

I wonder what has caused all the stored-up angst though in you, Mr. Writer (xcardinal).  I always thought Miami and Ball St. had a nice little rivalry.  Can't we just say Wally and Bonzi are both on the downsides of their careers and we're both looking forward to our next big star to come through our athletic programs?  Why all the 'holier than thou' stuff?  Yes, Miami can be a snooty place, but don't all campuses have such a contingency?  Miami has a strong academic reputation and strong athletic program (most years).  I'm sure the other MAC schools do also, so I don't know where you get this 'holding its nose up to other schools' comes from.  I visited Ball St. and Eastern Michigan and had I grown up in Indiana or Michigan rather than Ohio, I wouldn't have minded attending either school.  I'm glad I chose Miami (and can now cheer for Wally and Ben rather than Bonzi or Earl Boykins), but I thought both schools had a lot ot offer when I visited and checked them out.

Go MAC!  Can't we all be friends and friendly rivals - (now that we're grown up and mature adults)?

Your quote " Miami can be a snooty place, but dont all campuses have such a contingency??  Ummm...... No, they dont. Nobody is arguing that Miami is not very competitive in sports and a fine academic institution. But when you act like the rest of us are just lucky to be here and you can find time to play the rest of the MAC schools. You really cant expect much if any sympathy when things go south at your school that in most alums minds is miles apart from any other MAC school. You may be the objective one and thats almost refreshing but not applicable to most of your Alums and student body.  No angst here just experience with your classmates ,players and alums and you all ( most of you ) fit the bill very well.

Thats cool..... rivalry continued !  Go Big Ben and Go MAC.

You will soon have the oppurtunity to cheer for Nate Davis on Sundays as well.

Seriously, it is cute that the MAC gets to be considered "big time" programs, but in all honesty Miami, Ohio, Toledo, Ball St., Bowling Green, etc are not considered "programs" anywhere other than Ohio.

I live in Pittsburgh, which is relatively close to some MAC schools, and nobody in this whole city could care less if they would just drop the MAC from D-I.

So it is funny to hear the internal arguing of MU thinking they are "better than everybody else" when the rest of the country looks at all of you as a joke.

Just my 2 cents to help you guys with your delusions of grandeur.

Roethlisberger = only good thing to come out of the MAC, and if he would have played QB for more than his senior season in H.S. he would have gone to a real school anyways.

Then I guess you better tell these other MAC players to go get a different job because nobody cares.

Just a few who you watch on Sundays from your Moms basement in Pittsburgh.

Josh Cribbs- Cleveland Browns return man

Antonio Gates- TE Chargers

Jason Taylor- DE Dolphins

Michael Turner- RB Atlanta ( from Chargers)

Ryan Diem -Colts OT

Hollis Thomas- Saints NT

Nick Kaczur- Pats OT

James Harrison- Steelers LB

You can throw in Chad Pennington and Byron Leftwich since Marshall was a MAC team when they played. Left out a  bunch but who really cares right?

And you should care especially since Dave Wandstatt and  PITT lost to Toledo just recently. Dont kid yourself. There will be more BCS teams who lose to MAC teams again this season.

I guess that sums up the kind of education you must have received from your MAC school, anyone whose opinion is different than yours must live in their mom's basement.  Because, I mean, how could someone who has such a cool avatar actually be a douche??  No way it could happen.  You may be an "all-star" on an online message board, but I highly doubt you are a winner in real life.

I apologize to all other MAC supporters on the boards that this guy embarrasses you by calling himself a MAC fan *roll eyes*
