Official Penguins vs. Red Wings Thread

C&W, That game drained me too! When it was finally over, I felt like I needed to take my skates of as well! Like I was playing or something!  That was an awesome game! I work with some people that are just finally catching that hockey fever and I think it's great, I just wonder where they have been? Here's to more great hockey!

Thanks for the clarification, I was ready to give you my two cents! The city of Pittsburgh and the numerous Pittsburgh fans strewn across the US are fired up and are praying for a game 7! If the Pens can push this to a game 7 then this series becomes an instant classic, especially game 5 with all the drama of a last minute tying goal and three overtimes. When the wings went up 3-1 it was very depressing for the faithful, and it felt like impending doom. 3-2 is not so bad with game six at the igloo, we have faith and hopefully our team has some confidence. A win tonight and this becomes a one game series and anything can happen.

i don't think the refs had anything to do with the Penguins winning the game.  yes, the two goaltender interferences were crap, but it didn't affect the game in the end.  the penalty that was called in route to the goal was legit.  so i have nothing wrong with that.

hey buzz, please read my previous posts before striking back at me.  i'm not the only one who questions crosby's defense.  obviously, his own coach does which is why i haven't seen him on a penalty kill.  personally, i'm not saying he's a bad player.  i do think he is a little finesse and that does get the best of him sometimes.  see what he did to start that samuelsson two on one in overtime.  i'll even slam my own team a little bit.  franzen should have shot the puck like 5 more times, but he kept trying to beat the whole pittsburgh defense. 

i actually hope the penguins win tonight.  i want the wings to win the cup at home and i also think a game 7 in the finals would be a great thing for the sport of hockey.  hopefully, get the sport back on the map.
