Who do you guys think helped themselves the most this offseason? Or who will put up the biggest fight this season. Leave a response as always.

I think Carolina has improved the most as long as Julius Peppers is back to his norm. The Panthers have done quite a bit on offense like getting Muhammed and Hackett to go along with Steve Smith and personally, I think Jonathan Stewart is gonna be a beast. They also traded up in the first to get some offensive line help.

New Orleans is a close second in my opinion and would be most improved if they didn't lose a couple key players, like their center....hahaha. New Orleans seems to have the only questionable backfield in the South, a big change from 2 years ago. Deuce is still hurt and Reggie proved he couldn't handle it by himself. Through in the loss of Faine and they may have problems. The defense did improve with Sedrick Ellis on the line but is anybody scared of Randell Gay or Mike McKenzie?

Man, we are going to be facing a pretty stout line-up of RB's this year. We face Reggie and Deuce twice, Michael Turner and Norwood twice, Stewart and Williams twice, Larry Johnson, L.T., McFadden, Ryan Grant, Adrian Petterson, Marion Barber, and more. Didn't I see a thread somewhere saying we shouldn't draft a DT early in the draft????

I say the Falcons because there is no possible way they could have gotten worse.

I think the Panthers still have no QB. Something is terribly wrong with Jake Delhomme's arm. Tommy John surgery is no joke. Who do they have behind him? Matt Moore? Ok.

The Saints supposedly picked up a bunch of players, but they were all pretty much rejects. Dan Morgan even retired.

In terms of us not drafting a DT early, who would you have gotten? Was there anyone past Sedrick Ellis worth a squirt? Don't forget, there are a lot of guys coming off IR that may be able to contribute nicely to the D-line. Charles Bennett comes to mind.

Apparently, you don't know much about Tommy John surgery.  The depth behind him, yes, is pretty weak (most Panthers fans are enamored with Matt Moore, but I don't think he'll be ready to start for several years at earliest), but he'll be 100% by the start of the regular season (if not the preseason), and his arm is already stronger than it was before in the limited throws he's made.  If Delhomme and Steve Smith stay healthy, John Fox will have the defense playing well enough to win the division pretty easily.

Really, oh peddler of fat, greasy burger products?

Given only 4 people in the NFL have come back from it, 2 being QBs, a career backup in Craig Erickson and the other career backup that mostly ran the ball anyway in Rob Johnson (neither very accurate)... I would say it is no joke. Not to mention how you have to learn to throw the ball differently. Jake Delhomme already throws an unorthodox ball. Imagine him messing with his throwing style. Have fun with that.

If Delhomme and Steve Smith stay healthy, John Fox will have the defense playing well enough to win the division pretty easily.

Strong statement, considering the Panthers still have nobody on the other side of Steve Smith, and they are still wondering whether or not Julius Peppers comes back to form.

Enjoy another third-place finish in the NFC South.
