Tell him to make sure not to use the same crystal ball he uses when predicting the outcome of the AFC south every summer to find out the answer. That one doesn't work worth a crap.

You know the crystal ball works when it picks Indy to win the AFC South since they have been the only champions ever.

Yeah, but that's not the crystal ball that FBT uses. The one he uses says the Jags will win the AFC south every year.

I thought ticket sales were doing well for the next season so far - perhaps FBT can enlighten us again on what's really happening.

The Jaguars have fewer than 4,000 non-premium seats remaining to be sold in order to avoid blackouts for 2008.  That's ahead of last years pace, and that number is now 2 weeks old.  I don't know where SI is getting their numbers, but they're incorrect.

With the turnout at minicamp today, I don't think the Jags are going to have a difficult time with selling out this season.

As far as the team moving to LA, it's not, and never will.  This is simply more lazy reporting by someone that doesn't bother to do any actual research, and just accepts lazy reporting by others as fact and runs with it.

I know I am not on these messages boards a lot (so I may not have the credentials) but we just had Vic Ketchman as a guest speaker at my work.  He stated that the Jaguars are going to have to sale single game tickets b/c we won't sell out season tickets. And that he thought based on last years success, we would have sold out by Memorial Day.  He was extremly disappointed in this.

You could tell by his look and tone that he was worried about the Jags staying in Jacksonville.  He said that if we don't sell tickets, then look out.  He went on to say Minnesota, Oakland, San Diego, St. Louis (all who have been mentioned before) as well as Jacksonville should be worried about their team moving to LA.

His anlalogy was, once they break ground in LA, the music starts.  And when the music stops, one city will be left with out a chair!  And we've all played musical chairs.

Just wanted to pass this along!

It's very important to note one extremely important point about your experience...Vic Ketchman is an employee of the Jacksonville Jaguars. They are a Professional Sports Franchise but a BUSINESS first. It is Vic's duty and obligation to his employer to push Season Ticket sales at EVERY opportunity. He is playing the "We got a winner and I am ashamed of the fans for not turning out in droves" card and the fact is ticket sales started very "briskly" after a good season last season and have had a "lull" for a while. This is a very normal thing when the season seems so far away in the spring or early summer. It is in fact that way all over the NFL. But, we absolutely ARE in fact ahead of last years sales and expected to be in great shape at the start of the season. As the season nears and training camps start people will return to the ticket windows and sales will be better.

I want to agree with you and hope that you are right (keep in mind I am not saying you are wrong).

It wasn't so much what he said, it was the way he said it.  His body language and tone.  He actually told us that he was not trying to "sell" us on purchasing tickets.  Because he did not think we should be spending our money on anything frivolous.  It just did not sound like a guy who was trying to get us to buy tickets.  You could tell he wants so bad for the Jaguars to stay in Jacksonville.  I just hope the people of Jacksonville wants them to stay too.
