	Chipper hits number 400 He's hitting over 400 amazing! Chipper Jones is the consummate batter in the NL this year I always knew he'd hit 400 homers now I can see him hitting 500 which should make everyone reading this to vote him in for the All star game in NY this summer He doesn't need your vote he deserves your vote vote often as rules dictate and Go Braves 08!! .

	It has been an absolute joy and pleasure to watch Chipper Jones play for my Braves since I was a teenager. Im 32 (I think I said 31 on the MLB board, but whatever) now and it has been great watching him all this time. This couldn't have happened to a better guy. I have met him twice and he is truely a class act. BTW, Im sure all he cared about was that his team won the game. Thats the kind of guy he is: Team first, Chipper second. Gotta love it. Congrats Chipper on a HOF career. I hope he plays a few more because he is certainly showing he's capable of it. Also, there's only two other switch hitters that hit 400 HR and Im 90% sure they are both in the HOF, so I think Chipper is a lock.

	Wow. Way to go Chipper. You. Are. The. Man. I dare say before its all said and done, Chipper will be the best Braves-FRANCHISE player ever. And that includes the Atlanta years, Milwaukee, and Boston. It has truly been such a joy watching this guy go from that wild and crazy kid that could knock 20 homers and steal 20 bases, to slamming his bat down on the Mets' heads and stealing the '99 MVP. Now here he is 9 years after his MVP season and I've never seen him play better. Chip commented in the ajc that he doesn't see why he can't play through 40. that as long as he doesn't let his body go and that he certainly won't let that happen. We love ya, Chip! Heres to 500!!!! -BC10

	Kudos to ya Chipper, very well done. He reached a great milestone while having an MVP type season...pretty cool. Of course I friggin hate the player but I have respect for his skills and acomplishments just as I do for Smoltz. I disagree with BC10 that he will be the best Brave ever since the Braves had a pretty good little player named HANK AARON! It's like saying Joe DiMaggio surpased Babe Ruth.....of course not but that takes nothing away from Joe DiMaggio being one of the all time greats and for my money Chipper will go down as one of the all time greatest 3B. He'll be in the same class as Mike Schmidt, George Brett, & Brooks Robinson. That's quite a group to be a part of. Ok, I gotta go back now to hating this stupid team, later Bravos!

	I would like to say that 400 HR's will get Chipper Jones into the HOF but my gut tells me he has some work to do before that happens. He is having a monster year and I pray it will continue as long as he plays. If he has a couple of more years within sniffing distance of what he is doing this year, he will be a lock.
