to show a little humility,i don't want to see any more silly victory celebrations after a meaningless win, until they show some guts and start making the effort required they should just get off the field as quick as possible and get ready for the next day,in our last 3 4-game series we have won 1 game out of  12,that is just not acceptable ,we are 0 - 6 in Atlanta (Phillies just completed a sweep there today) and we are not in a race because at the moment the Phillies are just way ahead of us

so please Mets players until you start winning some important games and get into a divisional race no more high fiving and self congratulatory victory dances, you are a team of under achievers and have nothing to celebrate

We were going good until we hit the wall in S.D.

auaharry, we have to admit it to ourselves, we're only a sub .500 team.  If you look at our roster and compare it to any other, we're not that good.  We've lost series to San Diego, Colorado and Washington in the last three weeks.  I believe ('cause black and white doesn't lie) we're no better than these clubs.  It's only going to get worse to.  We'll see Owens, Webb and Harren in the upcoming games against Arizona.  We play Texas and the Angels after that.  We could be looking up at Atlanta, Florida, Philadelphia and even the Nats and be at least 10 games or more out of first place at the midway point in June.  Not good!

I dont want to say it, but it looks like this season is pretty much over, they can fire Willie, they can make a trade, whatever they do it isnt going to help this team out....

We arent even a medicore team any longer....we are what our record is and that a sub .500...Ram you said enough....enough said...

Tartans,we always seem to find a wall every time we look like turning the corner, scoring 3 runs in 3 games against SD is pathetic

rams

i accept that the team is not good enough but i feel there is more to it than that, remember it's not that long ago that these guys were in the NL decider and for half of last year they looked like the cream of the crop, maybe they were playing above themselves then but i don't believe that,i think there is something fundamentally wrong at the heart of the ballclub and it is affecting performances

aqua, don't get me wrong, I believe this team is still good, but just doesn't have enough heart at the moment.  I don't know if they are trying to run Willie Randolph out of town or what, but that shouldn't be an excuse.  They are professionals, I paid a lot of money to see all three games out here in Denver and they should realize that the fans are the people who hurt the most when they perform like this.

Ram i agree totally ,it's got to the stage where i think some of the players are just clocking in and collecting their pay,the team probably needs to be broken up and we definitely need some younger healthy hungry guys,i think a key number of players have no love for the Mets and no respect for the fans who spend their hard earned cash to go and watch them
