Sorry for the lack of comments lately, Doyel, but my blood feud with your idiot lesser-half (or tenth, or hundredth??) has been consuming a majority of my time.

Anyway, good column, valid points, except for one: why exactly is Roy Williams a malcontent?  Because he suffered through a dismal football season and grew disheartened, as anyone would?  Yet, he never bitched on or off the field, got in trouble....rather, he is a charitable stalwart in his community, a solid citizen.  Comparing his struggles with Jesus' may be quite over the top, but it doesn't make him a malcontent.  Just not the most introspective interviewee.

Those are good points, but by making such un-introspective comments, Williams became the latest athlete to get my attention on this matter. And getting my attention is not usually a good thing.

I call him a malcontent because of his whining about Wade Phillips' scheme, etc.

My idiot less fraction seems to be shrinking! Unless yours is growing ... nah. I'm getting smarter!

My idiot lesser half is shrinking! Unless yours is growing? Either way ... I like it.

He's a malcontent because of his whining about Wade Phillips' defense, and his non-fit into it. He's not a bad guy on the level of Vick or Pacman or some of the other idiots in this story, clearly. He might not even be a bad guy at all.

But those comments were un-introspective, to say the least.
