Of all the talk I've heard about the upcoming class of recruits ( Liggins, Galloway, Harrelson, ect...), and the problems we will have next year with scoring, I dont think I've heard anyone mention the fact that Darius Miller may turn out to be a GREAT scorer.

In the Kentucky all-star game he had 23 points (I just finished reading the article on Spmas Wildcat Page) and highlight after highlight with dunks and drives to the lane.

I really think this kid will suprise a lot of people, THIS YEAR. Now in no way am I saying that he will be a consistant go-to guy for points early on (although he could be), but I am saying there will be games where he will blow up for 15-20 points. And by the end of the season will be a BIG part of this teams post-season sucsess.

This kid is a TEAM player who kinda reminds me of Crawford, but with a better attitude (I am refering to when Joe first got here, and the whole transfer thing). I have seen a lot of tape on Darius, but have yet to see him play in person. So if there is anyone out there who has, or knows this kid, please shed a little more light on a kid, who I think will have a HUGE impact on this team and Billy's overall perception in the recruiting world. GO CATS!!!

With Jasper leaving and Liggins having problems qualifying (I am assuming at the moment he won't).  I see Miller as a big minutes guy within the first 10 games.  I see the following given where we are at:

PG/LG/SG - Galloway/Porter/Meeks, SF - Miller/Harris, PF/C - Stevenson/Harellson/Pat

Stewart will get minutes at the 3 and 4.

Key point is that I see Miller getting at least 20 MPG being a 10PPG/4RPG kind of guy.  I think Harris will get the other 20 minutes and be a 5PPG and 4RPG kind of guy.

Meeks has to be a 15PPG player and Pat needs to be a 15PPG/10RPG player.

We must get 16PPG and 8RPG from Harrellson/Stevenson combined.  Galloway/Porter//Stewart have to deliver 10PPG and 6RPG with the remaining time.

So I see Miller being a huge part to our success if we are going to have any success.

Maybe we're all sleeping on him because we don't want to throw a lot of pressure on right away.  He's definitely a great basketball player & athlete.  Our team this year might have more question marks than we did last year.  I'm expecting it to take on the feel of another rebuilding year.  Our success will ride mainly on the shoulders of Meeks & PatPat; if anyone else steps up, we'll move from rebuilding year to thrashing Vandy twice, hopefully.

All the drama with Liggins not Qualifying,  jasper leaving and "whos' gonna run the point?" has taken all the attention, but most UK fans know that Miller has tremendous upside and can (and hopefully will be) be as good as he wants to be.

Darius Miller, in my opinion, is the best player in the incoming class of recuits. I can see Miller averaging ten points a game and perhaps more.

I've seen Darius play alot over the past few years, this kid is a team first player who looks to get everyone involved. He has great scoring ability and is a great passer. Three point range he will have to work alittle bit on but can knock it down. He is a good defensive player but looked alittle lazy sometimes, but I think that was just the kid in him playing highschool basketball. Oyeah, he can flat out jump out of the gym. Looking foward to the great addition to the team. GO CATS!!!!!!
