Nice analysis based on specific on-court activity framing a more global view of the game and each team. Very nice to see. No real crazy hype lines, stats, quotes - this may be an actual piece of sports journalism! Thank you sir!

I didn't mean for that to sound like a back-handed compliment either - this isn't maybe an actual piece - this absolutely is. Don't expect as many responses as Freeman gets because there isn't too much to say after reading this - it just sort of covers it. But don't confuse responses with readership and value to a site - this type of thing builds credibility. And as we can all see, all things related to the NBA are in desperate need of credibility.

I have to admit I do wonder how I'm doing in your eyes after I write these stories. Do I come to the message boards to read your thoughts? Yes I do. Yours and others. So thank you ... but keep on me if I screw up, too. Don't be sucked in by my magnetic personality and other-worldly writing talent. Tell me when I suck.

You might be waiting a while for that ...

Hahahaha.

I know you do man - you're human. Plus you're a writer so it's only natural for you to care about your audience. And I really appreciate you taking to heart some of my criticisms.

If you get a chance, check out the petition we've got going:

I also figure that an article on this type of thing would be right up your alley (I remember the thing you wrote on online gambling.) Although I won't hold you to that one!
