	im a kahne fan, but first i was a bill elliot fan cause he drove the mcdonalds car and i love there double cheesebugers lol....well bill stopped driving full time, so i changed to sterlin marlin at the time he drove the coors light dodge, my dad taught me dodge made a good car, so i decided to stick with dodge....sterlin marlin stopped driving full time so i picked up his replacement jamie mcmurray as my favorite, he lasted one season then transferred to a ford crown royal car....so that left me without a driver so i picked up kasey kahne rookie driver in the uaw dodge been there ever since, now kahne is driving for budweiser seems like things are coming around i just hope this doesnt become a bandwangon thing....but if kahne decides to leave dodge then i have to pick a new driver, im a dodge fan first, driver fan second...any thoughts out there on whether kahne is going to have a bandwagon following, the crowd at the all star race makes me think so....or maybe they will root for any driver in the budweiser car

	I became a Kahne fan because of Bill Elliott, he was in the nine retired(sorta) and Kasey jumped in left me with out a driver. For me driver first driver second ect. The cars are not anything close we can buy at the dealer so I do not follow makes. As for band wagon Kasey has a huge following(with the ladies) that hurts and makes it hard to deal with as an actual fan of how he drives not of his dance moves. In the end its about marketing, whoever NASCAR wants to make popular they will. Example Brad kesolowski good driver strange how he almost looks like junior when he came to nascar now he is huge in the busch oops nationwide series. PROPOGANDA wins not drivers and wins and losses. Notice how JG is not the poster boy of nascar anymore things that make you go HUMMMMMM!

	I have noticed it is getting a little crowded around here these days....like both of you I have always been a fan of the #9 (even when it was the #94 and #11) but I have been a fan of Elliott since the 80's when he was driving the Coors #9 Ford. My father got me into watching racing when I was a kid and we started going to dirt tracks around central NY and then when I was old enough to pay attention Elliott was on a huge run when he became "Million Dollar Bill" and then a few years later he beat out Rusty for the Winston Cup championship...then he went on to drive the Bud #11 (a little ironic I think) then the 94 Mc D's then back to the #9 so when he retired, I felt I have felt like I had been rooting for the car for so long that I could not change so I have been a Kahne fan since....I also did not have to buy a new hat.

	I've been a fan of his since his rookie year. I had stopped watching NASCAR for years, so when I started watching in 2005, I wanted to find someone to root for from the beginning of his career and Kahne was that guy. I was there with all those near victories in '05, the great season in '06, the disasterous '07 season, up till now where he and his team has got it back on track. Both of my daughters love Kasey. All they watch for is that #9 Bud car and they get excited when he's on. A lot of Kasey's fans have had to endure all the Kahne bashing from how bad last season was saying that he was no good, he'll never be an elite driver. Kasey's here to stay. They weren't even supposed to be good until the second half of '08. They are way ahead of schedule. He just needs to get past this stretch of races that always seem to plague him.
