Hoya – I think you’re setting me up. However since you wanted a serious note, I had posted almost the exact same results on another thread, except we split with the Steelers. Of course any given Sunday anything can happen. For example, your favored Steelers loss to the Cardinals. With that said:
  • L Dallas – This could go either way and will be high scoring
  • W Pittsburgh - Finally
  • W at Baltimore – Offense in Transition, Defense solid but getting old
  • L at Cincinnati – Another shoot out, I’ll give them home field
  • BYE
  • W NY Giants – Shocker. Browns have better O-line than NE, also bye week advantage
  • L @Washington – let down, Short week make Browns vulnerable
  • L @ Jacksonville – Jags better than Colts this year
  • W Baltimore -Repeat
  • W Denver – four days rest on Thur. night, but we don’t play at mile high so we should win this one
  • W @ Buffalo –Snow Bowl or not with 10days rest
  • W HoustonJoe Thomas wins the matchup with Demorrio Williams
  • L Indianapolis – Manning
  • W @Tennessee – Browns settle score of who deserved the playoff berth
  • W @ Philadelphia – McNabb will be hurt as usual this late in the season
  • W Cincinnati – Browns rolling
  • L @ Pittsburgh – Steelers avoid Browns sweep, Tomlin saves job

Record: 10-6 or 9-7 depending on Giants game

Dawg -- Don't worry, not setting you up.  Just curious since you said you guys should be 3-0 (beating both Pittsburgh and Dallas, two of the better teams on your schedule) and I wanted to see how realistic your predictions were.

As my previous post detailed, I'm with you on many of these games.  I was on the fence about the Giants -- I personally think they're overrated -- but I just had thoughts of Eli and Plax putting up some numbers (Plax probably remembers how to beat the Brownies ).  I think Tennessee and Washington are both easier games than they appear, even though they were both playoff teams last year.  For some reason, I have a feeling about Buffalo this season, so watch out for them.  Thanks for forecasting that Mike Tomlin retains his job after this season...I was concerned.

Overall, refreshing to see a tempered outlook for your home team (unlike the Ravens fans who were predicting 8-8 or 7-9 at worst).  I think you made one minor typo next to the Pittsburgh game in Week 2...but that's ok, the "W" and "L" keys are really close together...common mistake.

Hoya- I happend to agree with you on the Giants and Buffalo, both of which I picked the Browns to win. However I picked  Washington and one Cincinnati game to lose, so the record could easily flip to 8-8 or 12-4 instead of 10-6. The Steelers certainly have a tougher schedule with San Diego and New England vice Buffalo and Denver. IMO the Steelers will need to either sweep the Browns or beat both the Chargers and Patriots to win the division.  What would be really cool is that both teams make the playoffs by week 16 and we play for the division title and home field in week 17. I can just imagine the smack talk on these boards if that happened.

I'll take that right now. A home game Week 17 against the Browns for the division? I like our odds in that situation. Can you set that up Dawg?
