Bernie let's forget for a moment that Cameron was once a pretty damn good ballplayer. Let's look at the here and now. Truthfully Cameron has lost a step, the ball hit by Cuddyer in the 12th a couple days ago is a ball he would have had earlier in his career. I can't fault him for getting older and slowing down but the point is his defense isn't quite what it use to be, and thats the main reason we got him. At the plate he has the same all or nothing approach that the great Billy Hall has, and we both know that that really does the team little good. Cameron is striking out more than once every 3 at bats. He has over 150 more strikeouts in his career than hits. Now that might be excusable for a guy with 50 HR and 120 RBI potential but Cameron is far from that. I guess i feel that with Kapler and Gwynn you might lose a bit on defense and in the power numbers but everything else is enough to outweigh those areas and make them more effective and important to the team than Cameron. It's fine if you disagree with me on that, but I would like to think you can agree that Cameron is not worth the 6+ million the Brewers are paying him.
