Well the Tigers starters are finally getting there act together and we still have a month befor the allstar break , I expect Detroit will turn things around after the break and will be way above 500 in the second half of the season. We will be in the playoff this season mark my word.

Im with ya solar. The Tigers are finally pitching good and hitting when they are supposed to.

I think thames has been one of their mvps this year. hes come up with alot of big hits and home runs.

My question is what happens to Sheff when he comes back. He'll be playing but will he bat 3rd or 6th.

I would prefer 6 , but it might be an injury filled season for him when he does come back. I really don`t know how long he will last.

Yes, the starters are giving the team a chance to win.  We got a break today, and we really needed this one, by beating LA and Chicago losing.  When I see the effort put in today by Seay and Jones, I exhale and say "Thank you God" .

Oh well, 6 in a row.

it's a great stretch and the pitching has been great...and Rodney will join the team as they go to San Fran with Zumaya coming in soon after, so we need to keep winning each series because I think it's between the Tigers and White Sox....OFF TO THE COAST!!!!

I like what I have been seeing from pretty much everyone lately, Bonine didn't play awesome but the team picked up the slack and played the way a team should. I was a little worried towards the end of todays game but we bent and didn't break which is nice to see. I like that Inge was able to show some power today, he hasnt had a lot of that lately and I think Leyland's plan to alternate Inge and Pugde is working out, they have both playedmuch better. I am excited to have Rodney and Zumaya back, but I hope they find a way to keep Dolsi, I think he has earned a spot but i don't see how they can keep him. I am optimistic about the upcoming series for Detroit, the west coast teams in San Diego and San Fransico are winnable series and with Pujols out for St. Louis they are weakened. If tehy keep this play up and sweep a few of those series it is not unlikely that they will be near first place in the Central and that is music to my ears. GO Tigers!!!

I think you're right.  I will look at the effort by the relievers today as a slip-up that they got out of their systems and won anyway.  Hopefully the next 6 or 7 opportunities to close a team out will be uneventful.  Thames has to stay in the lineup.  I am pretty sure he now has 10 homers in about 100 at bats.  The team is better without Sheffield in the lineup, killing us at the plate and unable to play the field.  The injuries are dinging him up pretty steadily now.  Funny how the little injuries didn't happen before the 'roids testing started.  Six wins in a row, including a sweep over the White Sox, is something to get excited about.
