HAHA get serious. I love all of the Red Sock fans saying the Yankees are done and its Bostons turn now. To be a Dynasty you need to sustain a long period of success. Like 4 titles in 5 season or 9 straight division titles neither which boston has done. Boston missed the playoffs in 2006 winning only 86 games and finished 3rd in the division. The last time the Yanks finished worse than 2nd was 1992. Sorry D Rays fans, don't get your hopes up.

The Yanks are coming around and will be right in the middle of the excitement come seasons end and will be in the playoffs...AGAIN.

Yanks are a dynasty, Boston is not.

I don't hear too many people involved with the Red Sox talking about dynasties.  They're focusing on building one.  Meanwhile New York Yankees fans keep on bringing up the D word.  I guess it's tough supporting the Yankees these days.  There was a time you could shout about how long it was since Boston won a world series.  Then you could console yourself with shouting about how it would be 86 years before a second Sox success.  Well that prediction didn't work out too well either.

I will say this - what's a better foundation for a dynasty, 2 championships in 4 years or none in 7?

Get real 2 in 4 isn't even close to a foundation.  The Yankees in the 50"s were a dynasty.  The Romans were a dynasty.  Red Sox - I think not

why do fans always talk about what they did 10 or 20 years ago? yall might have been back then, but nothing close now. In this time period we are much more of a dynasty than yall. Quit living in the past.

P.S.

Exactly what the f is a yall - I know it's a tool they use on leather.  Amazing how completely insecure everyone in the Hartford suburb known as Boston is.

kwilliams -

You say Yanks are a dynasty? Agreed, the Yanks were once a dynasty but are not anymore.  Simply put, the Sox are much closer to being a dynasty than the Yanks.  Since you bring up division titles, then obviously the Braves must have been one also.  What 13 division titles? Ask their fans how much they enjoy having 1 WS in that same 13 years or if they think they were a dynasty.  If not, you can throw away your 9 division titles.

You really aren't worth the time but I will digress....what is your definition of a foundation?  Maybe 4 Stanley cups in 80 years for the Rangers while the Islanders won 4 in their first 15 years....man those 1940 chants were great back in the day.  Or how about them Knicks 1972 was awesome wasn't it.  Since you are such the expert on dynasties, why don't you enlighten all of us as to what a good foundation is?

Your right I'm not worth the time.  But how bout them Yanks - look pretty damn good don't they and since they have a better player at every positiion except left field - it shouldn't be long now huh
