I saw every Pistons playoff game and I did not see where Billups didnt want to play, Did you see the last game? He is maybe to unselfish. A PG that dosent turn it over, shoots  the ball well from 3 and is one of he top 3 FT shooters in the game? He also relize more on his size and strenght so he wont get old as fast as a guard that relize on speed and quickness. Stuck will be good but if you want to win in the next two years Billups is the guy to get us there.  Dont underestimate the value of a proven playoff preformer and overestimate 1 or 2 good playoff series by a Rookie. Dont get me wrong though the kid can play. Sheed was the emotional engine and he has not showed up since that game 7 finals loss to the Spurs  where Detroit blew a 6 point lead with minutes to go for Back 2 Back ships. The guys look to him and it is time for a power shift twords Rip and Chauncey and the young guys. Sheeds personality is to dominate and he is the oldest with the most value contract wise. Tweak  the roster by moving Sheed and a bench player  for Okafor and give it a run.  We also need a SF that can produce. Thought Hayes would be that guy but Tay had to play 40+ a night against the other teams best player. We need some help for him, thats why his shot faded because he had no legs left.

As far a Bryant goes he is never leaving LA and I wouldnt want the guy on my team anyway.  He should be in jail instead of the Finals!

All the Pistons starters are good, four are all stars and Tay could be in the future.  So I am not questioning how good any of then are, because they are all really good and have great value.  The whole reason Dumars is going to break up the team is because of a perceived lack of passion to win.  So someone has to go...  and if I had to chose two guys who seem to be erratic on the court it would be Billups and Wallace.  It may just be their style of play...  Billups is so calm that he may just appear that he is not going all out but he really is.  Like I said, I love these guys but Joe D says someone has to go!!!!!!

I like any trade that brings Okefor to Detroit, he would be great down low.  If we could pull that off I would not mind seeing Rasheed go, but only if we can get a true big man down low.  What about Yao Ming?  I know he is not the definition of toughness, but it would be interesting to see him with the Pistons for the right price.  He has a good half court game.  Any big man we get has to be able to score, not just play D.

they need a dominant force down low on the offense and defensive side.  they were able to get by before with the wallace and wallace tandem but they need one guy who can make it happen both ways.  i would like to see them get Dwight Howard. he showd that he can make it happen on both sides. averaging over 3 blocks a game and 14 rebounds. while also averaging 20 plus points.  what did sheed average just over 10 points?  maybe trade sheed and billups for him

Pistons would have to give up waaaaaay too much. Sheed and Billups wouldn't cut it. Orlando has learned from its mistakes I think. Anyone rememeber...what was his name...Shaq I think?

How about Rasheed Wallace and Tayshaun Prince for Amare Stoudamire? We can move Richard Hamilton to small forward, Chauncey Billups and Rodney Stuckey both could play shooting or point guard, Jason Maxiel at power forward, and Amare Stoudamire at Center. What do you think?

Don't think the Suns will give up Amare. They're building that team around him. Plus, Amare isn't a true center. He plays much better out of the 4 I think. Though I would love to see Maxiell starting at PF.

The only two trades that I've heard and think might actually happen involve Brand/Kaman or Okafor. I don't see us getting any superstar big men for Sheed. The talent is most definitely there, but the motivation isn't. He could be a very dominant post player if he felt like doing that. But he doesn't. The best place for him to go (though he would HATE it) would be to the Bobcats. Larry Brown was the only coach who could control him and focus him enough to play up to his abilities.

In the end, I don't really know enough about the Clippers and Bobcats to say whether or not they'd make a blockbuster trade like that. I really don't think we'd get Amare or Howard. They're too good. As for the Denver trade, I'm not a huge fan of that. Joe D didn't like Melo then, and I'm hoping he still doesn't. It would completely change everything he's worked so hard to put in place. Adding a big man and getting rid of 'Sheed is our best bet.
