I got sick of Doyel a long time ago, so I will post this and then stop reading him, again.  He has been all over the map on Kobe all series, so to take him seriously is just dumb, he is the worst writer on this entire website.

Very simply, the Celtics are the MUCH better team.  They won because overall they have more talent, play better as a team, and were more disciplined.  Kobe didn't have a great series, but no one man ever won a series on his own, and that includes #23.

Congratulations to all of the Celtics.

Correction, no man won a Finals on his own. I think Jordan did win a few first-round series in the late 1980's on his own.

Granted.  I did mean finals, though.

Celtics are not the better team, the Lakers were out coached. Plain and simple, Phil's ways dont work in this day and age of the NBA. But its not all his fault, he should not have to get his players pumped up for the damn NBA Finals!

You gotta admit it though.  When the biggest game of the season came up.  Where was Kobe?  Jordan would have went down swinging.  I'm not saying he would have won the game but at a certain point he would have just blown up and done everything he could to just flat out put points on the board.  Kobe either didn't flip the switch tonight when he needed too or or flat out didn't have a switch to flip.  I did not expect what I saw tonight.  Granted I thought the Celtics would win but I did not think Kobe would let his team get embarassed like that.

Phil did get outcoached by Doc but if it's up to the coach to get his team up for the damn NBA Finals .... then they don't deserve to be there in the first place.  The Celtics are the better team.  They showed it in the regular season and they showed it in this series.

The Lakers may be better in 2-3 years as the big 3 get older, but there is no way in Hades that you can justify saying that the Celtics are not the better team.

You will stop reading him again like you say...but then eventually you will come back again. Some title or prompt will intrigue you and you won't help but reading. So please, don't try to sound like a hardass.

Anyways, this was a great article. The blame for this loss can be placed entirely on Kobe. Kobe didn't need to win the series on his own, but he needed to be a leader and will his cast of second and third tier players to show up and play.

Also, please don't say the Celtics had more talent. Any of the Lakers players are equally as good if not better than the Eddie House, James Posey, PJ Brown subs that the Celtics make.

Face the facts, the Celtics just wanted this more. Judging by the score of the game, they wanted it a lot more. And as the leader of the team it is all Kobe's fault for not convincing his team that they wanted it more.
