I took a day off yesterday and tried to focus on everything but basketball, obviously the dissapointment, frustration, anger and all the other feelings were too much to handle.  Not to mention the annoying Laker-hater next door who I was so close to duct-taping up and throwing him off the LA river!  I am now collected and over it, it was a great season although it was a failure in the sense that we didnt win the title, I know we have a lot to look forward to, the return of Bynum will add a new dynamic to our team, the experience of the massacre will make these young guys tougher especially mentally tougher.  We have a bright future and will be competing for a title for years to come.  I find comfort in the fact that I saw tears in Kobe's eyes, you know he wanted this as badly as anything, I like the dissapointment I saw in every Laker from D. Fish to Sasha Vujacic.  I dont know if to remember or to forget what happened is the best remedy, but the future and outlook of our proud franchise is bright and sometimes failure is the first step in learning how to succeed.  This team is a resiliant bunch and they proved worthy to compete for the crown.  The rest of the NBA and their respective fans should get used to seeing the Lakers alot, we are still the team you love to hate, we are the bamboo, we will bend but never break!

As for the Celtics, I could be the bigger man and congratulate the Celtics and their fans on a great season and winning their 17th title, but I just wont do that, I am a Laker fan and its already been written in our bible to never praise anything Celtic, its blasphemous for us.  I will say this, all you have done is shown us the way, you have awoken a sleeping giant, we will be back, and we will take back what is always been ours, enjoy it while you can because you will never see it again! Crotch, see you ladies next June!

GO LAKERS!!!!!

Damn straight!!  Stay true to Laker nation not like some of the other fans that are "congraDulating" (haha) the C's...

I will say this, all you have done is shown us the way, you have awoken a sleeping giant, we will be back, and we will take back what is always been ours, enjoy it while you can because you will never see it again! Crotch, see you ladies next June!

Yeah, the loss is bad but it's still good.  Your guys will come back with some finals experience under their belts and be ready for whatever next year brings.

Crotch, see you ladies next June!

Not if my Pistons have somethin to say about that!!!

Hope you stay around during the off season...

Either of these teams will always be in the mix when it comes to championships. The Lakers because of market played and for the Celtics tradition of the past. Number 17 was a long time coming so give props to the Pistons, Spurs and Lakers for the most recent successes. I am not a Boston fan but must grant a congratulations. As my AV shows however, I am a Laker fan and oh what could have happened had KG gone to the Lakers!  Oh well, we'll get back within two years and that is a promise. Good luck Celtic fans!

First off, both teams will be great next year.  As far as the Bynum thing, he missed out on all this "experience" of playing with a lot of pressure.  Sitting behind the bench watching is not the same.  Different players react different ways after a long layoff from surgery, he could be flop next year.  Teach Vujacic how to play defense, teach Rad not lose composure when it counts, teach Kobe to score 60 if he has to to win the game.  Tell Odom to keep his tongue in his mouth and not wag it like dog, (the Garnett mocking him thing was hilarious), tell Gasol to hit the weight room.  And most importantly, get a new coach.  Jackson's head wasn't in this series from the start.  He looked lost and uninterested.

I've got the feeling that Joe Dumars is about to tear Detroit up and rebuild from scratch.  If I were him I would hold onto Prince, Hamilton, Maxiell and Stuckey and start offering combinations of everybody else to get some players the Pistons can build around.  We talked about getting Melo but with a Michael Curry coaching next year after being around as an assistant I think that along with his new voice needs to be some new ears.  See you next June, Vic, unless San Antonio performs some miraculous upgrades in the offseason.  Word.
