Perhaps this was discussed on these threads before, but I just wanted to say that I am really excited about this Freddi Dolsi guy. The first time he came in was with the bases loaded, and the struck out 2 batters impressively. He reminds me of Zumaya in 2006. In fact, he is doing so well in the late inning role, Zummaya might have to earn his old spot back. Not a bad situation for Leyland to be in.
i agree with ya Freadom about dolsi being a stud. Hes gonna make Zoom work for the 7th or 8th inning role. I really like how dolsi pitches and goes about his business.
But...the first time he came in a game was a while ago and he gave up a bomb to Manny Ramirez on the first pitch. That bases loaded scenario wasn't that long ago and definately wasn't his first on the hill.
Zoom did the same thing in 2006 against the Yankees early in the year. Yet, he forgot about it and pitched a gem the next itme out. Dolsi did the same. Therefore, I'm impressed. So far, he is showing closer mentality. We'll just have to wait and see though.
