Alot of people like to say no one wants to coach in Oakland, that Al Davis is an owner who is impossible to get along with, and the people who coach there dont enjoy it at all because, well, "its the Raiders".

"The best time of my whole career," Trestman said of his Oakland experience.

I thought he was a good O/C with his time in Oakland. He relies too much on the pass though and games usually end up sort of like how Mike Martz would run an offense, if your down no matter how much pass, pass, pass.

I wish him the best of luck in the CFL.

RAIDER HATER HERE!!  Putting my  donkey hat away for a minute...

OK Trestman *might* be saying geatest time of his life at Oakland #1 because he wasn't getting his a$$ chewed by old AL (Chucky was the one) and #2 because he wants to come off gracious in this whole thing..hell I would.

But I wish him the best, and I actually am really pulling for Lane Kiffin, I *DO NOT* think the Raiders made a mistake in choosing him as coach.  I think they just need to invest the time. As far as hating the raiders, I do but honestly  as a bronco fan, I hate KC more.  Screw the cheaps.

Anyway, Good luck Lane, and I really liked Fargas last year, I thought he got the shaft after working his butt off and then you guys draft McFadden.  But I understand as well, McFad is a stud, hopefully for you he'll have the pro talent equal to his college namesake.  And hopefully for the league he has the class of Marcus Allen.

But I still hate the Faiders...not as much as the cheaps...oh dear lord I hate the el cheapos...

AL DAVIS that bad?..well of course he's a crust y old man that let time pass him by.....as for TRESTMAN  only time will tell if he' another NORV TURNER in the aspect of great coordinator/lousy head coach, but good luck nonetheless because he's truly one of the "nice guys"

What's so bad about the CFL?
It's like NBA players going to Europe..I know its a drop in competition, but people are treating it like your neighborhood summer league compared to the NFL, it's still football. And good football too.\

Any criticism of Al Davis should probably come from his overall meddling with the team. He's one of those owners that gets a little too involved, and as a result he can be hard to work with if you're a coach who wants to do things differently from the way he sees it (Jerry Jones is like this, and we saw how things went with him and Parcells). On top of that, Al is a little old school, and while I respect that, we all know how the game has changed, and that old school tactics don't work nowadays.

If anything, that's why I see the Raiders as a problematic organization. Yes, that's from the outside looking in, but as a Bengals fan I know all too well about how an owner can impact a team for the worse.
