What are the Bears doing? They give Harris a new contract but won't give Briggs or Urlacher new contracts. They need to get their priorities straight, Harris is good, but he's not the face of the franchise like Urlacher is.

True, the only player from the Bears I used to know when the Bears sucked was Urlacher and everyone says his the best LB in the league but I'm a huge Zach Thomas fan even though he isn't with Miami now

Urlacher used to be the best player on the team.  I still love the guy, but he is also now whining like an unprofessional.  He needs to play out his contract that he was thrilled about in the beginning.  Harris and Briggs will be better players if they aren't already.  Harris is the reason Urlacher doesn't get run over.  It's well known Urlacher doesn't perform well when people take him straight on.  Now he has a bad back to add to it.

You can tell you guys are not BEAR fans! We freaking love Tommie Harris, he is a man among boys on the football field. Urlacher is a monster and he will get his too. Briggs was out of control in the media complaining, but the deal got done.

GO Bears!!

JustMyOp, that was about the dumbest thing I ever heard..........obviously you don't watch too many NFL games. There is no doubt that Brian Urlacher is the best LB in the game. The guy is all over the field, and I guarantee that offenses fear his presence more than anyone else. Saying Harris is the reason that Urlacher doesn't get run over is pathetic.

I am just happy to see defensive linemen getting paid what they are worth nowadays. I remember the shoddy contracts that were given to the best of them back in the day, when guys like Howie Long and Tim Krumrie were playing. These guys were underpaid bigtime, so to see Harris and others doing so well is a good thing.

The Bears dont have problem...Urlacher is the best LB in the game but should play a little further into his contract.  He will still get signed and be the best again.  Tommie Harris is a big part of his success because the does take up blockers to let Urlacher use that speed and trounce on people form sideline to sideline.  Briggs will play his role too and if Mike Brown can stay healthy we will definitely have the Monsters of the Midway reaking havoc again as the #1 D.
