I wonder how loud the " Lets go Red Wings" and " We want the cup " will be heard when Tiger Woods visits the Detroit area later this summer. You see Tiger Woods main sponsor has a tournament in a northern Detroit suburb which he usually attends and the PGA Championship is at Oakland Hills. Of course the crowd police will be there with the quite please signs. Having attended majors at Oakland Hills and the Buick Open I would say the crowds are bit more unruly at the Buick Open than the normally stuffy Oakland Hills.
Real close just not close enough to vote for the mayor. I usually go to the Buick Open every year. However I think rolling a puck on the green gets you ejected.
I lived and grew up in Grand Blanc, Michigan, which is where the Buick Open is played. Grand Blanc is about 70 miles north of Detroit. We never, ever considered Grand Blanc a suburb of Detroit. Unfortunately we were considered a suburb of Flint.
But if Im going to get thrown out, I'm going to toss an Octopus onto the 17th green.
Besides, Tiger will probably be one of the last groups playing 17 on Sunday.
