I would still rather have a Mark Eaton instead of an Ostertag.

Robin Lopez is the one Lopez twin that should stayed another year in school. Besides Center's that come from Stanford don't pan out to well for Utah, and look no further in Jarron Collins and Curtis Borchardt who have been total bust.
Besides if all the player's that the Jazz are targeting are gone then they should just trade out of the 1st round all together. Cause the only player's to have any kind of success with the team that was a 1st round pick, would be Deron Williams, Ronnie Brewer, and yes even Andrei Kirilenko, other than that the Jazz are more of a 2nd round team getting those diamond in the rough, like Bryon Russell, Shandon Anderson, and Paul Millsap.

Mark Eaton was a stud that could only be attributed to the genius that is Frank Layden.... I would consider him a given. Eaton could play on every Jazz team and be a contributing starter. My point with Ostertag is the one that Roll Tide made better than I did.... had he been paid what he was worth he would have left a very different impression on Jazz fans.
Also, I agree with you on Lopez DWill... he would probably benefit from another year at Stanford. I hadn't made the Stanford connection to Jazz centers though.... funny!
I'm still sticking to it though guys.... I would love to see the Jazz go big in the draft, and look for a back-up PG through free agency or a trade. Bigs just don't come around after the draft very often.

Of course I'd love to have Eaton, but are we really taking about looking to the past for a player we need now?
As for the present draft, I agree with D-Will08. Utah needs to make a list of 5-10 guys that they would take with the 23rd pick. If none of those guys are there, then Utah should trade out of the first round. The Jazz don't need to draft another project player who plays a position where there is already depth. This team has plenty of project players (Almond, Fesenko, Brewer and Miles) so we need to be diligent to grab a player that has a place in the near future.
My list of players that I would hope to be on Utah's draft board:
Hibbert (C Georgetown), Westbrook (PG/SG UCLA), Augustin (PG Texas), Love (PF/C UCLA), Randolph(PF LSU), Jordan (C Texas A&M), Koufos (C OSU), Lawson (PG UNC), and maybe Speights (PF/C Florida).

Roll Tide- That's a nice wish list. Mine would look alittle something like this for a Jazz draft board:
Roy Hibbert (C- Georgetown), Jason Thompson (F/C- Rider), DeVon Hardin (PF- California), Nathan Jawai (F/C- Australia), DJ Augustin (PG- Texas), Russell Westbrook (PG- UCLA), Mario Chamlers (PG- Kansas).
- Ty Lawson- he's returning to North Carolina, so Lawson is out of the mix.
- Marreese Speights- watching him talking to Utah reporters saying that he expects to go higher, plus on top of that you could barely even understand the kid.
- Kosta Koufos- you can't go wrong with a 7-footer with nice range. But since that there comparing him to Mehmet Okur, should be interesting to see if Utah takes him.
As for Kevin Love, DeAndre Jordan, and Anthony Randolph all are considered to be in the Top 10. Would it be nice to grab any of these guy's yeah it would, but I think that the Jazz would have to give up alot just to obtain any of these young stud's.
If the Jazz do end up going big at 23 then that just gives Deron Williams yet another toy for his arsenal. Cause it's D-Will that made Carlos Boozer, Memo Okur, Ronnie Brewer, Paul Millsap that much better. If it's a point guard then they could learn from one of the up and coming great young PG in D-Will.
But if the Jazz end up drafting either a 2-guard or a small forward then look for C.J. Miles and Andrei Kirilenko to have there day's numbered increase.

My potential draft board list is more like a wish list because I'm not sure that Utah stays at pick 23. It would make no sense to select a 1st rounder and 2 2nd rounders because roster space is that limited. If the Jazz use one or both of their 2nd rounders to move up, then some of the players on my list are more attainable or a sure thing (Hibbert and Speights come to mind).

Here are the teams that I think might be interested in a trade should Utah look at trading up:
14. Golden State - this team does not have many players under contract for next season, and they might be interested in trading down if they can get both 2nd's from Utah
15. Phoenix - this team has a terrible cap situation and not many players taking up the space. They might look to trade down to get a player that won't cost as much as the 15th pick would and they can get 2nd rounders to add to the roster.
16. Philadelphia - tons of roster space and cap space.
18. Washington - another team that has roster space and might consider trading down to acquire 2nd rounders.
All three of these spot locations could land us a slightly better prospect like the ones originally on my list.
