I hope she makes it! She has a tremendous amount of talent. It is a shame she was led down the wrong track by parents - as so many young athletes are. If injury doesn't get her, I think she will rise to the top of the young women golfers out there. I never used to watch the LPGA, but the talent level there today provides a competition that is as good if not better than the PGA to watch.

The LPGA has many Michelle Wie "stories" ... too many good young golfers out there.  Most of them have a better mental grasp on the game than Wie ever will have and it's for this reason that the leaderboard won't see her name all that often.

DING DING DING!  We have a winner!  Put the blame squarely where it goes.  Her parents have screwed this opportunity up for her to the point that it won't be repaired.  Here's why: The arrogance and attitudes that her parents demonstrated during the charade are, unfortunately, now imbedded into Michelle's makeup.

The one thing I've learner being a parent and seeing other kids and their parents is that kids are reflections of mom and dad.  It's not the kid's fault but she has absorbed the parents' stupidity, and she showed that in triplicate last season.  Her best chance is to pull a Sean O'Hair and get the hell away from her father in particular.  O'Hair suffered through it but has made a great life and career for himself.  And he has such a good perspective on life now.

Cut 'em loose, Michelle.

Ok she's young, give her some time. But is it possible that maybe shes just not that good? Or as good as other players. Just because you come up with a reputation doesn't make you great. - Side note: How rediculous is equipment now? Wie is driving a ball 320. Come on. Not that she's not talented with great club speed but give me a break.
