I thought with the RJ trade, the Bucks might ignore Alexander. But he is the pick after-all. Happy about him, but getting nervous that he might be the Simmons/CV/Yi type player the bucks are trying to avoid. I am still keeping my eyes glued to the tv. Just might see another trade for the bucks.
I must not be thinking straight. Now that Simmons and Yi are gone, this pick does make sense to me. He is basically a much more athletic and tougher version of those two and should be a great addition to the Bucks. Should have a big impact in his first year of ball. I am liking the two new additions tonight.
Eh, its not too shocking we didnt take Lopez. If anything, it means Bogut will for sure be a buck next year which was pretty much to be expected. Anyways, the Nets should grab lopez at 10. It would be an absolute steal for them.
Im confused ..we got rid of in essence our worst SF Bobby Simmons and in essence our best PF for a better then average SF and then we go draft another SF im hoping hammond has a plan the only way i see this working is if hes getting RJ to mentor Alexander
then what i see happening is Desmond Mason along with charlie v off 2 some team for a vetren pf and a pick then maybe going after someone like dj white in the second round
i dont think redd is going anywhere and im 70%sold that mo is still a buck next year
"im hoping hammond has a plan the only way i see this working is if hes getting RJ to mentor Alexander"
That is what I was thinking as well. Alexander hasn't been playing basketball for very long, and playing behind a veteran like Jefferson will definately aid in his development.
Of course, if this wasn't Milwaukee's plan, this pick is a bit of a head scratcher.
Heard rumors that we are talking about trading Redd to the cavs for Wally (no D), Verejao, and Gibson. Is there anything to this? I am not sure it is a step forward but Verejao upgrades pg and Gibson may be a good pg .
