That's a nice list of "low profile" players (although I would not put Felix Jones in there - he could have gone anywhere in the country). BP won the Conference USA and the Big East with 2-4 star players. It remains to be seen if he can win the SEC with 2-4 star players. No one else has - including Arkansas. We've come close, but not quite. No one outside of the "Big 6" has won it since the expansion in 92. And each of them has won it at least once (Bama - 2, Aub - 1, GA - 2, FL - 6, LSU - 3, TN - 2). They win because of money, facilities, coaching, tradition, and consistently good recruiting. I think Arkansas has all those things, except recruiting. They are stocking up on 4-5 star recruits (especially Bama and Fla) and weeding out the underachievers, while we are stocking up on 2-3 star recruits and hoping for a few overachievers. BP may change that in the next few years.
There's no reason to think we can't join the ranks of the "Big 6" and recruit on par with them instead of playing from behind every year. I'm holding out hope that BP will wake a sleeping giant in Arkansas and put us in the Top 10 every year. He wouldn't have taken the job if he didn't really believe he can do it. It will take talent though.
