Currently the Wizards have picks 18 & 47 in the 2008 NBA Draft. Those hard core fans visiting the message board know what I'd like the 'Zards to do, but my last name's not Grunfeld nor Pollan. Everybody's on the clock: What do the Wizards do???

Kappa

I have seen some Mock drafts in which the Wiz take Arthur.  Seriously.  We already have Songalia, Blatche and (hopefully) most importantly Jamison.  Why in the world would a so-called expert "predict" Arthur. He is the same player.  A PF.  WE HAVE THREE ALREADY!!

Who the Wiz take will certainly tell us what Ernie thinks about Jamison and Arenas.  I say we package the pick and a player or two and move up.  Right now, the only acceptable answer is trade it.

There are not going to be any good guards left (either PG or SG).  Maybe a small forward to back up Butler.  Brandon Rush ?

Either way, unless the trade it, I am going to be unhappy.

I say trade the pick or take Roy Hibbert if he's available.  I know he's not too wide and he isn't really fast, but c'mon 7'2" guy with good big man skills.  Just the guy the Wiz need.

do you really think roy hibbert could offer anything better than Etan Thomas or Brendan Haywood? hes was a great player in college, but his last season has me a little worried.

I think he would play better than Haywood after a season or two.  One problem that i have noticed that plagues the Wizards year in and year out is giving up offensive rebounds.  Hibbert may not have been the best rebounder, but in the games i saw him play, he was rarely letting the opposing guy get the O-board.  Maybe that was just the result of college basketball competition, but Hibbert was usually pretty consistent in getting to the boards.  The Wiz aren't going to get an all star at the 18th selection, but they can definitely get a good role player.  Hibbert also has four years under the JT tutelage at GTOWN and both John Thompsons will still be within driving distance and I think that has got to be a bonus.

I'd like to see them make a trade actually, something where they can package it and get themselves a veteran big man

I say trade the pick.  The Wizards need t find a way to get opponets to miss shots.  Because opponets field goal percentage is so high there is not enough rebounds available making folks think we need rebounding help.  That help comes with veterans or players that can defend better...
