To say that Sapp does not get in the Hall Of Fame is abasically saying you have no understanding of football. Period. Chester McGlockton and Tony Casillas dnt even factor into the equation and LaRoi GLover should make it, but might not due to the lack of great seasons. If you want to say someone doesnt make it into the hall because of mouth and self-proclamation, your telling me Deion Sanders wont make it, Terrell Owens wont make (as he definitely will), Deacon Jones shouldnt have made it (a trash talking, cheap shot, DE for the Los Angeles Rams just redefined the position of defensive end), and Lawrence Taylor should not have made the hall. Please give me a break. 96.5 sacks at the DT tackle position should say enough.

John Randle is the only guy in my memory right now who outplayed Sapp at the DT position. When it gets to the point that when a DT comes out of college and he is regarded as the "next Warren Sapp", that makes him a priceless asset to any team and a proclaimed all-star (as Glenn Dorsey was in this past draft), the man makes it into the Hall of Fame. And for not being dominant against the run, ask Marshall Faulk, an undeniable hall-of-famer, who the hardest DT to play against was, he said it on NFL Total Access, it was Warren Sapp. Also, with the Tampa 2 defense making him better, Tampa 2 is only playable if you have a great pass rush with a great DT and a smart MIKE backer. Sapp made the Tampa 2 effective in Tampa, and if anyone looks better because of it, it is the defensive backs like Ronde Barber and John Lynch.

And about your "Irvin Exception", you must not have watched Michael Irvin play because for as much as he talked, he was the top WR in the league next to Jerry Rice. He was as dominant as any Wideout...ever.

Your nickname is appropriate if its referring to Whiskey. McGlockton, Glover, Casillas? I suppose you're 19 years old and have no idea who Alan Page is. Simeon Rice is the only one of the 4 who might be considered for discussion, and its highly doubtful he gets in. Defensive legends like Carl Eller and Jack Youngblood had to wait decades to get in, and you throw up McGlockton for consideration.

Switch to Yoohoo 1shot, you need to sober up.

"The following, just to name a few, will get in before Sapp does....because of better stats...solo tackles and assists"

Don't be such a stat whore, give me a break. If you just go by stats than I guess you would rather have Vinny Testaverde as your starting QB than Joe Montana or Dan Fouts. Emmit Smith must be the best all time RB too.......

I can't believe you said McGlockton.  He was a 4-time probowl player, who only had 5 years in his career when he didn't absolutely suck.  In Kansas City, he would get more encroachment penalties each game than he had sacks in a season (which isn't really saying too much).  He was a total failure of a player.  If all it takes is four good seasons to be a Hall of Fame player, then Andre Rison is a first ballot Hall of Famer.

Warren Sapp was to the DT position like the bumble bee is to nature.   His ability to move that huge body of his in the right place and right time was artful and at times inexplicable.
