There is DeAndre Jordan and Darrell Arthur in terms of rookies that we can trade for. But in my mind three trade targets we should be looking at are:

Elton Brand
Emeka Okafor
David Lee

David Lee looks to be the easiest to trade for as Keyon Dooling and Carlos ARroyo have already been mentioned by New York as point guards they might trade him for.

Courtney Lee, Keith Bogans, Maurice Evans, JJ Redick, Hedo Turkoglu, Keyon Dooling.

We have a bunch of guys who can play SG now, and Im pretty sure I forgot one...

We better be trading a few (including Redick) for a

Battie, Cook, Arroyo and Evans are decent bench options...so a team of:

Howard / random guy such as Gortat or Foyle who can play the 5-10 mins when Howard is out
Arthur or Jordan or someone from free agency or through a trade such as

David Lee is being shopped around for a point guard. We could trade Arroyo or Dooling (keep one as backup pg) and say, augustine, bogans and redick and future pick for David Lee

Imagine

Howard / Gortat (It'll do for 5-10 mpg, for now)
Lee / Battie
Shard / Cook
Turk / Evans
Nelson / Arroyo or Dooling

That is a good team. We have shooting guards. We need a PF that can start or at least play 20 minutes and have Batte play the rest...Arthur or Jordan could play 20 minutes with Battie playing the rest.

Brand, Okafor and Lee are guys who can start and play 30-40 minutes. With Battie coming off the bench the PF is solid then.

Shard and Cook are both players who can play.

We have Turk, he can also cover at PF and SF, especially if we want to create mismatches at PF, or have someone to guard Nowtizkis outside game when we play Dallas for instance.

Evans is a really solid bench player. He started for his last season and we finsihed 3rd in the East.

Nelson was our most consistent player in the playoffs last season and Arroyo and Dooling can both bring it for 20 minutes even, when needed

I don't want him on our team, he screwed us. his snot-nosed arrogant play can go somewhere else as far as Im concerned.

And Im sure there will be a team who wouldn't mind him in the trade deal.

Redick, Augestine, Bogans, rights to Vazquez and one of Dooling/Arroyo and a future pick are decent enough trade pieces to trade for David Lee and cash (to equal salaries maybe)

Darrell Arthur or DeAndre Jordan...David Lee, Emeka Okafor or Elton Brand / Battie
Shard / Cook
Turk / Evans
Nelson / Arroyo
We can also trade the rights to Fran Vazquez remember...

I hope we keep dooling.  I think we gonna lose Evans because he is gonna want too much money.  Thats cool tho cuz like you say we got shooting gaurds for days.  Our best bet is to trade for David Lee who is a beast on the boards.  We would get every rebound with him and Dwight.  My only concern with him is could he face the basket.  i havent seen him enough to answer that question.  Idont want any1 playing pf that cant hit a 15footer.  It would clog the lane for Dwight.  Elton Brand and Okefor are too expensive.  We have to get pretty creative to get them.  I really dont think Okefor not going anywhere and i dont think we have what the Clippers are looking for.  But it would be nice to have them.  Since most contenders are having two good post players

I agree. Keep Dooling and try and get David Lee.

If we could keep Evans too, then that would be awesome.

PG - Nelson and Dooling
SG - Evans, Bogans, JJ, Lee
SF - Turk, Shard,
PF - Battie, Fran
C - Howard, Gortat

If I forgot someone tell me, but you could probably trade Fran and JJ for David Lee and a 2010 draft pick.

If that happens
PG - Nelson
SG - Lewis
SF - Turk
PF - Lee
C - Howard
Bench
6th - Bogans
7th - Evans
8th - Dooling
9th - Battie
10th - Gortat
11th - Lee
12th - FA maybe?

Great post, but what about Haslem in Miami? He'd be a good fit for us as well.

We don't want any high-profile guys like Brand, b/c the only way we'll be able to package a deal is with Hedo, and we don't wanna ship the MIP out of here.

I agree that Haslem would fit well but the only things Miami want are good centers and point guards. Jameer wouldnt be good enough for them and the only center we have is Dwight and we aint trading him.

Brand might not return and go to free agency, in which case we can offer him...

Lee is the easiest to trade for as New York want a Dooling or Arroyo. We got them. Trade one of them with rights to Fran Vazquez, JJ Redick for David Lee...should be good enough...

If it's not we can throw a draft pick from the future in there...

Our team will be solid if we can get a decent starting PF...like Haslem, Okafor, Lee or Brand...

It shouldnt clog the lanes too much...

If we ever need a shooting PF during the match, that's ok because we have Turk who can cover...

Also  I just realised the thread doesn't make much sense at the top, that is because I wrote this in another thread and copied it and sportsline screwed it up. But you get the jist of it hopefully.
