I was really impressed that they stole, i mean swung that deal for Richard Jefferson. He seems like a good compliment to Redd. We unload Bobby Simmons contract who really underachieved, probably because of injuries, and we were log jammed at SF.  Yi was a joke, and even though he might be a decent pro, he wouldn't have lasted here anyway, so its great we got huge value for him now. (i hope he gets injured in the olympics, hehe)

Joe Alexander seemed like a weird pick.. he plays SF, and is too thin to play PF, especially if we want to give Charlie V more minutes at the 4. I was kind of hoping we could trade down and just get more picks to improve our depth at the 4 and another guy in the back court. Luc Richard Mbah a Moute (sp?) seemed like a strange pick, considering we just have acquired 3 SF in the same day, I was really salivating over Richard Hendrix in that spot, but who knows.  Maybe we can get some Free Agents to try out to add depth.

Overall It was a great day just because we got another superstar to play alongside Redd. Mo Williams is very underrated too, but will need to be more unselfish this upcoming season. Bogut has improved every year, and I've always liked Charlie V. I just wish we would have addressed some of our depth issues at the other positions.  BUT we still have free agency and I have a feeling we aren't done dealing yet.  Hammond is making the statement that we are going to win now.

I like the trade for Richard Jefferson, the Nets are rebuilding and apparently the Bucks aren't by this move.  Sure, we give up Yi but whose to say he was ever going to cash in on all that potential?  Getting rid of Bobby Simmons was great, talk about dead weight and from what I heard he wasn't the best guy in the lockeroom either.  With Jefferson the Bucks get a legit proven upper echelon SF who will play some D and score about 20 a game.

I also like the drafting of Joe Alexander, I think he is going to be splitting minutes between the 3 and 4 spots.  This guys is very athletic and very strong for his size.  I love his potential.  Same goes for the kid from UCLA, another great athlete.  Sometimes people get too worried about positions, what the Bucks did was acquire 3 great athletes, I would rather see that then them getting a couple of stiffs.

Both Alexander and  Mbah a Moute can play defense.  The Bucks indicated that Alexander will split time between both forward positions.  The trade and draft show a commitment on the part of the Bucks to be better now and to play improved defense.  Great trade, good to very good draft.

Joe Alexander is a great pick for you guys.  I just graduated from WVU and saw him for 3 years while I was there.  He is one of the hardest workers you will ever encounter and was probably the most improved player in college basketball this year.  He was the second strongest player at the camp in Orlando and he had only been working on his strength for less than a year.  He was skinny as hell under Beilein and put on 25 pounds once Huggins came in.  They say he still has the room to put on 20 more pounds and not lose any of his athletic ability hopefully giving him the ability the play PF as well in the NBA for you guys.  He also hasn't been in the game for very long so still a lot more room to grow.  I would have liked to see the Knicks take him at 6 being a Knicks fan but he'll work out really well for the Bucks.  Congradulations on the pick and good luck next year.  I'll be routing for ya Joe.

WVU86 great info, thanks.  I am excited about Alexander too.  It will be nice to have a hard worker like him here.  That is one thing this Bucks team needs is a guy with a great work ethic.  Alexander seems like he really wanted to come here too, after the Yi thing last year that is important as the Bucks try to regain their fan base here.

On ESPN Jeff Van Gundy picked the Bucks as his draft winners.  It is usually a good sign when some of the "experts" say your team came out of the draft as one of the winners.

Bucks did a great job aquiring players to fit scott skiles system and mentality. One question remains concerning moving Mo Williams which i think is almost inevitable at this point. They are still watching the development of last year's 2nd round pick Ramon Sessions. If he has a great summer and looks like he can handle 82 games at the point, then Mo will be gone before the season starts for probably front court depth and a future pick.I think he has the most value because they aint gonna move Redd anytime soon. The Bucks have 3 pgon their roster but only one shooting guard with any kind of major contribution,so they will relieve the log jam by sending Mo not Redd.
