This team is absolutely terrible...are we looking at our second 100 loss season? Will it take 100 L + to have Dusty Faker put in a can and sent ANYWHERE but Cincy...
So considering we can't hit, our "top two" pitchers Harang and Arroyo have about 17 losses combined and a balloned ERA (and I am a Harang guy but you can't argue the stats this year isn't his year)...we have a guy in the third slot in Griff that is way past his prime and needs to retire.
If we don't hit the long ball we loss...so do you see plausible 100 loss season? 95 loss season?
I am beginning to regret that management fired Krivsky, you can't argue like the guy or not that he tried to make the team better/Jocketty has done NOTHING in fact put E5 on the list of unavailables...he's terrible drop him like a bad habit
How many losses neccessary for Jocketty to drop the "baker experiment"?
I'm going to go under 100 loses. As bad as this team is, we have more wins than we did last season at this point, and they didn't lose 100 games. I say we lose 93 games. That would put us on pace to go 69-93. Is that bad enough to fire Dusty for? I mean he is signed to a 3 year deal, but that was the work of the Kriv-dog. Walt Jocketty may want his own man in there.
I don't see the Reds getting to 100 loses this year, but we will get close. I agree with everyone on this board that it is time for a change. Adam Dunn can go. Ken Griffey JR. can go. Bronson Arroyo can go. Dusty Baker can go. This team has been a big let-down this year. If we are going to build a winner, get rid of the big money, no production guys and start over. There is a lot of young talent on this team and in the minors, use it this year for experience and move on to next year with some real hope of winning.
I agree, we won't lose 100 games. I also agree that it will be somewhere around 73 games. I disagree that we should get rid of Dunn. we need his bat in the lineup.
