I believe they'll move up Ian Gac. He has definitely improved all areas of his game this season. Its not like he is too young for the move either. He'll be 23 in August. Time to start moving up in the world, or he'll become another Nate Gold.
On Chris Davis, lets remember not to be too hard on the guy right off the bat. He has gone through a brief time of struggle at both AA and AAA when he was moved, followed by minor adjustments which brought him great success.
The real question is what does this do to our lineup? I wish Milton Bradley was healthy enough to cover right field, leaving Max Ramirez to DH when he isn't catching, but that isn't likely. Davis is good enough to be an every day player (since he pounds lefties and righties), but Max Ramirez will likely be starting at 1st against left handed pitchers.
Eric Hurly, Max Ramirez, and Chris Davis are all up here now and we're still over .500. They look like they will make contributions right away. I figured if we were letting the kids play at this point, it would have meant being about 10-12 games below .500. Fantastic!
