How good is Wes Welker?

Just saw some thread about Wes Welker's statements towards Asante Samuel.  My question is, who cares what Wes Welker says?  In three years playing for Miami, he started 3 games and caught 96 balls for just over 1000 yards.  Then he goes to New England and becomes a product of their incredibly prolific passing attack, catching 112 balls for just shy of 1200 yards.

I'm not saying he's not a good receiver, but his stats are incredibly inflated thanks to the Patriots offense and lining up with Randy Moss and Tom Brady.  Heck, any decent player with speed and hands could throw up numbers like that running crossing routes against linebackers and safeties.

I've never seen a player more overhyped then Wes Welker.

People act like this guy is a top 10 receiver or something. He was nothing before he came to the Patriots and is everything because of Tom Brady and Randy Moss. Of course he catches a lot of passes, because he lines up opposite of Moss because of Moss being constantly double teamed and because they line Welker up in the slot most of the time he's matched up against nickel backs and linebackers and if a receiver can't beat linebacker he needs to retire. So of course Welker gets a lot of catches but look at his avg. yards per catch and you can see he's not a gamebreaker or an elite receiver. He's just the product of his system.
