Opening drive

Lack of NFL/Panther news is becoming oppressive.

Let's hear your idea for the first offensive play of the reguilar season, at SD.

Well, hell, I must've hit the wrong key, and posted that before I wanted to.

Anyway, my choice would be to hit Smitty with a quick slant over the middle -- whether he'c covered by Cromartie or Jammer, I think they'll be playing off the first play, expecting one of our patented off-tackle runs.  I'd like to send a message that the Jake/Smitty combo is back and working.

(I meant to offer other options, but the early post got me!  So gotta work with what ya got.)  And let's all try to stay awake.

I think that we should start off the season with a bang. I voted for a deep pass down field. The Panthers have been so depressive to watch the past few years and I believe a big play to start off the season is a way to say, "We're back."

But, if I know fox well enough we will see a little hb dive up the middle...

wow bigdavis....things are mighty slow.

If I was a betting man and I'm not...I still think that John Fox is the coach and we will start the season conserative...with a run off left tackle...but after that we will open it up for the rest of game 1 and then throughout the season.
