so we spent the entire off season and the spring holding our breathe waiting to get Brian Roberts.I for 1 am glad the deal did not happen!we are still holdin alot of talent in our organazation, leaving us capable of making a solid offer for any player out there.im a big fan of tryin to get some solid pitching.i like Rich Harden, but dont know if we can deal with the doubt of his health.sabathia will take the whole farm system,is he worth it?can we find a way to get Ben Sheets?you guys have any other ideas for the mill throw them out there!

Ben Sheets?????? They won't trade him to us! Plus they're only 4.5 games back. Harden, if you can get him, I like Zach Greinke from the Royals, Bedard can be had I think, any one of those guys. Sabathia would be nice, but all the experts out there are saying the Cubs don't have the prospects to get him.

We do need to get one more starting pitcher in here.  There is no way Ben Sheets would be delt to us with the way the Brewers are playing.  I do not think we need anymore offensive help though. I think we can win with the guys we have there barring anymore injuries.

The one issue I have is the Cubs always hold onto propects too long to be able to get anything for them.  Look at Felix Pie's value now, or a Marshall, or Angle Guzman.  Prospects are not sure things.  If you are in a position to get a sure thing for a prospect or prospects who is still not proven, you have to pull the trigger.

This is a window of oppurtunity here we have to take advantage of.  It doesn't come around too often.  We also found out it can close pretty quick too (after 2003).  Trade guys that are not proven!!!

The Brewers could be 0-81 and Ben Sheets have both arms amputated, and they still would not trake him to the Cubs.

If anyone is interested in an honest baseball handicapper with proven and documented results, check out my thread on this site.  It is damian’s picks and you can find it on the Yankees homepage.  My system that I developed is hitting 66% winners and I am up close to 10 units since May 19 th when I decided to release only this system to the public.  There are a lot of people already making money by betting my picks and if you are interested, you can to.  All of my posts are dated and have the time I posted them by cbs, so it’s not possible for me to lie about anything.  If you are not interested, kindly disregard this post.

This is not going to sound exciting but take it for what it is. Look to San Diego for a move. On that team they are going to move some contracts soon. The players I would look at are Scott Hariston and C.Y. Now on to what the Cubs have to move and what kind of players the Pads would want. Out of the rotation the only SP's who will stick should be Peavey and Banks. The rest should be moved. In the BP Trevor is ending his career soon so they will need another closer soon. The Cubs don't have a closer on their staff that is worth giving up. But, look at this Move Howry gives San Diego a solid late inning B-Pen guy to go with Bell. (who should take over as closer). Marshall to their starting rotation. Add in Murton or Pie for C.Y. and Hariston. Hariston gives the Cubs a good RH stick on the bench and can play all three of positions. C.Y. puts Gallagher into the B. pen for late innings. That would help Marmol out alot.
