Baron Davis in a sign-and-trade to Milwaukee for Mo Wiliams, Danny Gadzuric and Desmond Mason!

Alright, I know it can't possibly happen, but a man can dream, can't he? Davis, Redd, Jefferson, Villanueva, Bogut... that's starting to look like a pretty darn good lineup.

Okay, I will attempt to be serious. I've known that Davis was unhappy and I have been drooling over the possibility of bringing him to my fave team, but so have the fans of 28 other teams. He's going to be a hot property. Trouble is, NBA free agency is a buyers' market this year. 11 teams are already in luxury tax territory. Several teams are dumping their payroll to make a big move in 2010, which is a stupid strategy in my opinion, but they're doing it anyway. There probably isn't a three year, $50 million contract with a contender out there right now. Davis will have to sign with a lesser team, agree to a sign and trade, or re-up with Golden State. All that this says to me is that Davis is really unhappy as a Warrior.

And hey, Golden State has made stupid moves before. How 'bout if the Bucks throw in a second round draft pick?

Baron Davis to the Lakers?

No it wont work.Kobe takes too many shots to be sharing with Baron Davis.Davis is a go to guy type player and he needs to go to a team that struggles on offense like the 76ers.Baron Davis would be perfect with Igoudala because Andre doesnt demand the ball.He can do other things and Baron would be the clutch guy there.The Clippers have been rumored to sign Baron Davis and resign Elton Brand.Teamming them up with Kaman,Thorton,and Eric Gordon would have the Clippers looking at a title run.

Baron Davis to the Bucks?

Wont happen.Remember that Davis is now a unrestricted free agent so he really doesnt need a sign and trade.The Clippers can sign Davis and I believe they have Brand's Bird rights.They can sign Davis first and then go over the cap to resign Brand.Since Maggette has opted out it wouldnt be hard.The Clippers are about 30 million under the cap now.They could easily sign two high class free agents.I'd expect the Clipps to sign Davis and try to pull a Boston.I think the Clippers could be looking at resigning Maggette,Brand,and Davis.Teamming them up with Kaman and Thorton.If they cant sign Maggette then they should do a sign and trade with him.No worries though because they still have Thorton at the 3 and Mobley and Gordon at the 2.

The Bucks have two good offensive weapons now in Jefferson and Redd.Not to mention that the Bucks would like another pg who isnt a pass first guard.That would count Davis out.Maybe the Bucks should think of packaging Williams and Villanueva for Shawn Marion?They'd need another pg though.If they add a defensive stud like Marion the Bucks would be serious contenders.
