A batter hit by pitch should be credited with a walk and the pitcher should have a BB scored against him......I understand that because it's not recorded in the official game, but can it be recorded in fantasy? does anyone else feel deprived of an extra point when one of your batters is hit?
And I understand your reasoning for fantasy purposes, but the argument makes no sense. BB stands for Base on Balls. Being hit by a pitch is not the same as taking a base on balls(Except for the strange instances where a batter is hit by a pitch with 3 balls on him... then we have a conundrum).
I sure do. I remember last year, Delgado got HBP 3 times in a weeks span. It sucked not getting those pts. I actually lost that week by 1.5 pts. It was a hard pill to swallow.
I still say let the rule stay. That way games can have some quirkiness to them.
I like when I read the paper and see that a game ended with a balk, or like the other day when the Los Angeles Dodgers didn't register a hit against the Angels and still won the game.
It adds some flavor to the games. It's not like a regular baseball game is all that exciting to watch anyway.
i have 11 fantasy teams going this season, on 6 different sites, however, none of them give points for pitchers at bats.....if they did, zambrano would probably be the first pitcher taken in drafts......it would be fun to see, but i don't envision it happen
